They do seem to have quite a few indoor attractions as well, there's the drop tower, 2 spinning coasters, the VR coaster, 3D Dark ride, a haunted house and mad house so i imagine outside of technical issues they would always be open and offer a break from bad weather?

Colorado Adventure might suffer in heavy rain however everything else will be fine. To be year round rides like Taron are designed to run in any weather except -10 degrees or tornados.


As well as the new 4D attraction in Berlin, construction continues in the Fantasy area on a large new building - speculated to be a lake side restaurant.

Also the theming works to separate Mexico and Klugheim along the bridge have been completed. The final curve of Chiapas has a new look, while the new street along the bridge features a new drinks stand and a house for meet and greets with the dragon Queztal.

So if anyone was curious, i got a quote for the 3 bedroom suite at Ling Bao in Halloween half term (not sure if that's peak or not as doesn't correlate with regional holidays) and it's an eye watering €3250 a night!

This puts us at somewhat of an impasse. With no RAP, staying onsite is the only way to guarantee Quick Pass access but we can only stay somewhere with separate sleeping rooms.

The suite includes a lot of additional features that are also of no use to us so can't even begin to justify spending that much when we could do DLP again for a fraction of the cost.

I've looked at crowd calendar predictions and there doesn't appear to be any period that qualifies as "off-peak", where we could guarantee low crowds?

Not really sure how to proceed, might have to scrap this one from the bucket list :(
 
Sorry for the double post but i'm back in the game!

After speaking to the very helpful staff, there's a 2 bedroom suite that would meet our needs for half the price. It's still a lot but that includes unlimited Quick Pass (except FLY, doh) and park entry for the duration of our stay so i can justify that for what is likely going to be our only visit.

So i guess my question would be considering we'll have said Quick Passes, is 2 nights going to be excessive? In theory we'd arrive in the afternoon so perhaps pop in for a couple of hours but mostly use the swimming pool, then have a full second day, then third day probably a few more hours before flying home.

Alternatively we could get an early flight and have 4 or 5 hours day one, then get a late flight the following day so probably have another 5/6 hours.

Despite the hefty additional cost i like the longer visit schedule as it means less rushing around and can go back to our room for sensory breaks for my son, especially as we are going to have to attempt the FLY main queue, so i think i've answered my own question.... but i guess i'd like reassurance it's a great park to spend 2 days!

If its your first visit I'd always recommend doing 2 days at Phantasialand. Allows enough time to take everything in, explore the park properly, and get re rides on your favourites.

Every time I've been I've done at least 1 1/2 days in the park.
 
Have they confirmed it's valid on the Quick Pass Plus as well as the more basic selection covered by standard Quick Pass? Without Taron or Black Mamba unlimited access sounds impressive but just isn't.

Whether it's QP or QP+, it's worth noting that the range of valid rides is relatively limited. River Quest and Raik are not covered for example, both of which can attract long waits when the park is busy.

I'll double check but the previous Suite was as per below so i assume this will be the same considering the cost:


- Quick Pass for unlimited rides incl. Taron, Black Mamba, Talocan, Maus au Chocolat, Chiapas - DIE Wasserbahn, Winja's Fear, Winja's Force und Colorado Adventure

My son wouldn't be tall enough for River Quest anyway and i doubt my wife would allow me to take him on in late October even if he was. I'll have to convince her Chiapas is the equivalent of Small World.

Edit: @John they confirmed the Quick Pass is valid for all the rides listed above in all Suites.

Phantasialand is booked, very exciting!

What's the seating situation on Chiapas? Do you sit on one another like a traditional log flume or are you seated individually? Can't seem to find a good picture of it but looks individual? Slightly worried my son will fly out without me holding on :eek:

Incredible ride but honestly not a comfortable restraint system at all. You’re sat in the traditional log flume setup but the lap bars really restrict leg movement. I got cramp half way through and was in agony the rest of the way round! Maybe it was just bad timing of the cramp but it didn’t half hamper the experience, still an excellent ride though and would do it again in a heartbeat!
