This is Rattlesnake. It's the same coaster going around the same track. The ammount of work on this wouldn't have been approved unless it was something brand new.
When did Merlin acquire Pleasurewood Hills?

Confirmed from the website that the Lake End will now be farmyard themed.

The mini-dodgems and ballon rays will also recieve a re-theme and the resturant in the area will be renamed roosters.

Not enough hipsters were visiting the park so they turned it into a family ride with more appeal. Why was Hob's Pit shut down? Only decent thing in the park when I went in 2013.
Well I liked the creativity of Hobs Pit and glad it happened, it was the only novel thing left at the park today. But it was very misplaced. The replacement actually works a lot better with the space they had even though it's a basic shooter, it looks good
PH needs a big kick to get it going again, it's in a similar state Paultons was in during the early 2000s and that's doing well now. Might be slow progress, hopefully the management wont crash N burn

Yeah, to be fair I only went because it was on the way back from Latitude. Not enough hipsters were visiting the park so they turned it into a family ride with more appeal.

Went whislt on holiday a few years ago, and I have to say I was disappointed with Hobbs Pit. It really was not as scary as marketed.

Egg-spress had a VIP launch night on Thursday. A video of opening centre and POV of the ride can be found here
The park has also uploaded the new park map available here.

Is it expected that Cannonball Express will in fact reopen?
The latest photos on RCDB do make you wonder... https://rcdb.com/852.htm

If you go back along to the pictures from 2011 it doesn't look much better (aside from being complete and operating). Is it expected that Cannonball Express will in fact reopen?

Cannonball is rumoured that it's either opening in October or next season with a new theme.
Park is cleaner and tidier than its been in years, the pirate ship is currently down but everything else is working.
The park has a big owning group behind it who are currently investing in the place. Lots of rumours about next season already, including the fact the park are applying to have a small zoo, which is presumably a new petting zoo.

An update on Everybodys favourite theme park located in the North East of Suffolk.
Cannonball will return at some point.
Details of the parks Halloween offering have been announced
As well as the usual Family events, This year there will be two 16+ mazes from the AtmosFEAR company.
These are;
Full Scream Ahead
Guests are invited aboard a train full of Exhumated Corpses, this will be based inside the old train.
Hob's Revenge
Hob's Revenge will give brave guests the chance to explore an abandoned flint mine, which has sat undisturbed since the closure of Hob's Pit. Navigating through a subterranean labyrinth, guests will need to keep their wits about them as Hob is out for revenge! This will take place underneath the castle theatre in the old Laser Labrinth.
Pleasurewood Chills is on from 19th to 27th October 2019.
