I do find it mad that they've been going to all this trouble replacing the track for years when the main problem is the trains.
The sunk cost fallacy is a strange thing.I do find it mad that they've been going to all this trouble replacing the track for years when the main problem is the trains.
That's a good move. Sort of a shame that I didn't get to experience it in all its true awfulness though!
I have ridden dragon khan in around 2018, It was one of our favourite coasters at the park, honestly better than shambala…. Which was a terrible experience vs how silver star can run on a good dayI find it interesting that they are undertaking a full repaint of Dragon Khan. Would imply they believe its got a fair bit of life left in it yet. Given its age and how dreadfully it has begun to ride I genuinely thought something would be on the cards for it quite imminently.
Kumba at Busch Gardens operates year round and is 2 years older, so if that one hasn’t croaked yet, then I think Khan is safe for now.I’m sure someone will correct me, but Dragon Khan must be one of the oldest B&Ms to have such a long operating season without having ever been retracked. It’s surely time to do something after 30 years.
