Oh yes, I am not condemning the idea of riding it. I went last year to PA just to do it, not because I gave a damn about going back to PA, but because Red Force is a bleedin' big coaster.
It's just... urgh. It feels poorer engineered than a coaster 15 years older. Weird. Not to mention the park it is in, Ferrari Land, is dire.

The most frustrating part of my visit was being able to see a quiet single rider queue, but not being able to get to it through the main queue line. I didn’t fancy having to push my way through hordes of angry Spaniards Google Translating “I’m trying to get to the single rider queue”

I have nothing but good things to say about the place after visiting a few weeks ago. I've been here numerous times over the last 20 or so years and nothing comes close to it. I mean Alton Towers is a good park but very dilapidated in areas and lacking in good theming.
The general feel of the park, the massive ride selection, & care taken around the park (cleanliness/theming) is pure brilliance. The addition of Ferrari Land has been a welcome addition, although it obviously will need expansion over the next few years in terms of a few more big rides, ideally one being another medium/large rollercoaster.
I purchased the 2 parks/2 days ticket for just over £50 (immense value) , and certainly got my moneys worth by staying from 10am-7pm both days. Obviously with it being October and out of season, not all shows/Temple de Fuego wasn't running but that's to be expected.
Queues were minimal bar the odd 15/20 minute wait at the start/end of the day, I rode Red Force 8 times in a few hours (taking a breather after every few goes!) I rode which in my opinion is the best coaster I've ever been on; Shambhala 4 times and of course the amazing Dragon Khan, which despite being nearly 25 years old shows no signs of aging. Furius Baco is a good 1st of the day coaster, it certainly wakes you up, even if by giving you a concussion along the way
Stampida feels better than a few years ago, but does need retracking in a few select areas, it was running very fast though so previous retracking has clearly helped. Tomahawk is a bundle of fun too for a smaller Woodie. Hurukan Condor, scary, but fantastic. I've never gotten as wet on the Silver River Flume & Tutuki Splash as this time, I wonder if they've increased the water level? I was soaked through!
The only things I would personally hope for in the near future, 1. more rides introduced at Ferrari Land, even though its a great little starter park, it needs another biggie, and 2. Remove El Diablo and build a new runaway train or something similar, they have ample room to make something worldly fantastic in that area, with massive interaction. El Diablo having 3 lift hills is just daft.

The main problem with PortAventura is that the experience can differ vastly from one day to another and it’s totally unpredictable.
I’ve had days at PA where operations have actually been really good, the general park atmosphere has been fantastic and I’ve left thinking it’s one of my favourite parks.
I’ve been on other days where the place has been an absolute shambles and I’ve been embarrassed to call myself a PA fan.
And the funny thing is, there’s no way of calling it. The park isn’t one thing on a quiet day and another thing on a busy day. The experiences I’ve mentioned in the paragraphs above have been on days of varying crowd levels.
There’s really not much you can do in terms of “choosing” your days to visit correctly. It seems to be totally pot luck. I’ve never know a park like it.
When PA is performing on top form, it’s honestly a pleasure to be there.

There's currently a boxing day sale on for selected dates in 2020 €50 hotel rooms per night with park tickets.
Even at that price I can't be arsed to go there but thought others may be interested

365 DAY OPENING FROM MARCH 2020
For the first time in history PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land Park will now open 365 days a year, just in time for the Resort's 25th Anniversary, starting March 27th 2020 the 25th Anniversary celebrations will run until April 30th 2021.
Caribe Aquatic Park remains seasonal except for seasonal overlays.

Well I was there with my family on Xmas day. The Spanish seemed to prioritise Xmas Eve (Evening for a banquet) more than Xmas day. The park closed at 7pm so they had time to celebrate still I guess.

PortAventura has always opened Christmas Day, that's nothing new. The season used to run from March to January, but from March 2020 it'll continuously be open.

PortAventura does have a 'Preparing for the arrival of The Three Kings' and 'Arrival of The Three Kings' events on the 5th / 6th January, but they still have Christmas Eve and Christmas Day events too.
