It was not good last Saturday - busy, long fastrack queues and closing too early. But I would be keen to know what is wrong today?

It was not good last Saturday - busy, long fastrack queues and closing too early. But I would be keen to know what is wrong today?

Much the same as you've stated it was last Saturday; Busy, Long Fastrack queues, awfully long queues at every food place, and due to the small amount those temporary drink capsules hold, more people are going back to refill quicker than they usually would. Adding to every queue at establishments.
Add to this Air going down in the morning, Rita at midday and Oblivion for the considerable afternoon, reopening at 4:55pm, (I actually managed to grab a ride with two minutes to spare), it's just made for a very tedious, slow day.

Add to the above, Extraordinary Golf is closed 20 minutes early, there simply isn't any redeeming factor of today's visit.

At all!

There's no excuse for closing an attraction early!

Joseph, it is still moderately busy on weekends. Rita could hit 90-120 minutes, but usually Air, Sub-Terra and Spinball will be less than an hour with Nemesis and Oblivion being about 20 minutes.

I just did a run through of buying a ticket online on Towers website and it looks as if you can do the £5 next day tickets during scarefest which is pretty good. Hope this helps

In the region of £25 I believe, although those are figures which I remember from a while ago. Not sure whether they will have changed since then.

Hi Vicky,

Looking at this website it seems you can book a 4 person taxi from £18, and they seem to specialise in the Stoke station to Alton Towers link.

This is just looking at the one website, but I can only assume most taxi companies offer a service for the £15/20+ mark.

I was wondering if anybody has ever stayed on park during scarefest so know what time the bars and entertainment finish ??

The bars close at Random times though it's usually between 1am and 2am in Splash, ATH tends to close about midnight. That said they tend to close the bars based on how busy they are. I have known then stay open until 3am but that doesn't seem to happen anymore.
