Nemesis is the only real standout. Wicker Man is good.
I really liked the old Air theme too.
Oblivion most over-rated. Sounds like something from Crash Bandicoot.

6. Oblivion (so outdated now)
7. Spinball
The best tunes in the park however are from Katanga Canyon. The main KC theme and the RMT theme are the best on park.
Music is one if the few things even I am able to not criticise the park for these days. One of the few remaining things that make it special to me. Without that, Towers would be half dead to me.

I love that part of the Nemesis soundtrack when it gets really loud and dark sounding! Just fits the ride perfectly.

Terrible ride but Charlie and the Chocolate factory queue line is actually a really beautiful piece of music! Shame the ride was so appalling!
The old monorail HADODENTS audio was an absolute classic!

Nemesis is amazing and always has really captured the imagination. Menacing and also kinda magical, not "trailer horror" as you'd expect from a 'dark' themed ride today. Also, it sounds pretty much as great as today's full orchestra recordings, (like the recent IMAscore ones) but it was all done on relatively primitive computer tech! Fantastic.
Oblivion I think needs to be updated, although it's a cool soundtrack idea for the theme. Even if it was just the same piece but with new production (and more bass) it would smash. I don't usually like re-recordings for the sake of it (the IMAscore Colossus at Forp—uhh) but Oblivion is a particular case I fink.
Wicker man is good, it's atmospheric, but like many IMAscores it isn't that varied and is quite grey. Im a bit numb to it now.
The Smiler I wish wish wish they would remix to be more bareable. It's a fantastic soundtrack but just a notch overcooked with all that 'ha ha ha' and scream FX so prominent over the industrial backing track. There's a lot of fun stuff going off underneath all that.
other park themes... I think Haunted House's original soundtrack was fantastic, totally original & surprising. The old Duel outside music (around Gloomy Wood) was the best thing to come of the revamp, fitted right in. The new interior theme is much better and I really enjoy it in the ride, although people have criticised how parts sounding a bit rushed/cheap.
Ug Land was a great soundtrack too!

The oblivion one needs restored to its original state as it was intended to be experienced with the light and dark guys going on about missing cars etc.
It’s just awful now especially when they missed oblivion off the end of “welcome to....”

That version you're talking about is a short edit that played as the background music to the Oblivion minisite in 1998 (remember when websites had music!)The oblivion one needs restored to its original state as it was intended to be experienced with the light and dark guys going on about missing cars etc.

It was never intended to play in the ride, the ride has always played the full mix which sounds much better anyway.

I know the clips you're referring to, but I don't think Alton Towers could get away with announcements saying that ride cars have gone missing in this day and age, as some people might take it quite literally...The oblivion one needs restored to its original state as it was intended to be experienced with the light and dark guys going on about missing cars etc.

1 The Smiler (totally bonkers and suits the ride perfectly)
2 Nemesis (epic and brooding)
3. Galactica (Feels Spacey and mondern)
4. The Wickerman (really good, but perhaps a little bit uneventful in comparison with the ride)
5. Duel (just spot on really)
6. Spinball (I swear you can hear some Sonic sound effects in it, and it sounds like a computer game)
7. Thirteen. (works well) but a little underpowered
8 Oblivion (Doesn't really sound like anything plummeting into a hold in the ground, sounds more like 1998 cool nightclub)
Special mention to the lovely soundtrack as you walk in front of the Towers, it's quite spellbinding and magical.

I think thirteen's soundtrack suits it perfectly and goes well with the surrounding area.
I mustn't have paid much attention to wickerman's soundtrack as I can't remember it.
