Ride Availability/Operations 2022-24

Got to give towers credit for these amazing ops today. Oh well at least Nemesis is back to full capacity again
How many more times, it's the start of the season, it is to be expected. If these issues still persist in a few months time, it would be unacceptable. Right now, it's nothing too uncommon for a new season.

Yeah, not great at the moment. A few rides are down, so the likes of Rita are on what's just been announced as a 90 minute queue. Plenty of school trips by the looks of it. Easter around the corner doesn't help, but generally the last few years it's been harder to get these quiet days as school trips just tend to randomly turn up in a way they didn't 5-10 years ago on traditionally quieter weeks.

Because the school trip season is so often overcrowded, and what with us having horrible things like "pupils council" and suggestion schemes, many schools are opting out of school trip season, to get better value for the little darlings.
The days of an empty park just to ourselves are long gone sadly, Mr Zola.

The peak/off peak pricing is designed to encourage schools to visit at quieter times, here is the 2024 calendar.

The super quiet 10mins queue or less days do still exist, but they are few and far between, never will be Mondays or Fridays though. Weds is the best option when schools are in during March, April, May and September.

But why should it be expected? It shouldn't be expected, it shouldn't be uncommon.

Best thing Bianca could do for this park is persuade someone to open their pockets for a couple of engineers on a decent salary or at the very least come up with some sort of apprentice engineer scheme to get more people trained up.

I think a good analogy would be the opening night of a theatre show. The crew and cast will be doing their best. Things can, and often do, go wrong... But it certainly shouldn't be expected.
Teething troubles with new rides are forgivable. There's no excuse for everything else in the park.

Tell that to someone who has travelled a distance and is on their only visit for the season.

Would it be ok to say sorry we're not ready yet, come back in a few months time and we should have all the issues ironed out. Engineering team have had plenty of time to get things ready. It's not acceptable, they've been running a theme park for years they should be good at it by now.

But I'll use a quote from tower's a few years ago "it's better than nothing"

Agree with this. Some of you have had your brain washed into thinking this is acceptable just because it’s the start of the season. You shouldn’t stick up for Towers when it comes to stuff like this

It’s fair to expect teething problems in the first week of a season, but having around 50% of the headline attractions be closed for most if not all of the morning goes way beyond that, really isn’t acceptable and shouldn’t be normalised. After all, it’s still full price to enter.

On park for the last two days. And it's been disgusting. It's not busy, the crowd levels are low, they just can't handle it. Spent all their money on live actors wondering around outside permanently closed attractions.

No brainwashing here, just a lifetimes experience of the local theme parks.
It is simply what you get at this time of year, suck it up or take your money elsewhere.
Not "sticking up" for anybody, it is just called usual life.
Check the terms and conditions...

Doesn’t happen at abroad parks tho does it

I refer you to recent posts in the Parque Warner thread, which opened this year without 3 major coasters along with Hotel Embrujado and most water rides.

EP is about to reopen this weekend with construction ongoing on 4 rides and the new Sat VR not ready either

Should it happen? No, but here we are.
