Ride Availability/Operations 2022-26

I wonder whether funnelling people through a cattle pen that goes past the bag drop and through that batching room before the pre-show would help. Particularly on busy periods, it’s very unpleasant in there and I agree with @djtruefitt that it’s wasted time by the batcher shoving the pre-show room full of people.

There should be a set capacity for the pre-show room (not overcrowding it) that can run more regularly and get people moving through quicker.
Back when Wicker Man opened in 2018, for at least the first season, I remember seeing the merge host and pre-show batcher had clicker counters to count the number of people they let through. I assumed that for the preshow they let in 48 or 72 people (2 or 3 trains worth) which would help with mitigating the crush on the platform waiting to be batched to your bay. Why are they not using these counters anymore?

...or just scrap it.
I bet 99.9% of riders have seen it before.
Keep it as an option, or put zig zag barriers in there as a walk through, with a viewing space at the front for those who want to watch it.
Other rides cope fine without a claustrophobic box room.

Strongly disagree with scrapping it.

Its a great pre show and there will always be lots of people experiencing it for the first time, particularly children reaching the height requirement.

Tighten the merge point and put a cattle pen via the bag drop, a cheap and easy solution that works perfectly on similarly designed attractions such as Baron 1898 at Efteling.

Making creative decisions on rides based on your customers being predominantly repeat annual pass holders is a slippery slope to declining quality.

Repeat annual visitors, when the skyride is open.
When you look at the overall experience for all punters, it is a needless cramped health and safety hazard.
Keep it, but provide a sensible bypass.
As 99.9% of users have seen it before.
Simple.

It appears that the RMT could be delayed again 🤦‍♂️
