A huge plethora of videos, new screenshots and reviews are now dropping in regarding the game. Compared to the first abomination of the trailer we saw, the game looks infinitely better. Now for the screenshots: Spoiler There's also an interview: And there's going to be a Twitch livestream showing off the game later tonight. It's great to see this game emerging and hopes being restored after the past few miserable months of development.
Just announced that this game will launch on 10th December 2015! You can pre-order it here: http://www.rollercoastertycoon.com/buy/
http://store.steampowered.com/app/282560/ Steam link if anyone prefers that. Priced at £29.99, about right!
Annoying thing is I'm replacing my pc with a Mac before then (not that pc would run it anyway). Anyone reckon they will release for Mac?
Bad news From eurogamer: Sounds like it's a little bit broken at the moment, not really surprising since it has changed developers so many times. Source: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-11-13-atari-delays-rollercoaster-tycoon-world
Bad news? Great news! I've been following the development over at Shyguys world and if the response there to the beta was anything to go by it would have crashed and burned on launch. Glad to see they pushed back the launch date but I'd say a few more months still isn't enough.
Thank goodness for that. So much of this polished version that Nvizzio have promised looks like a polished turd, so I'm glad it's been pushed back.
Just a heads up warning: Don't buy Roller Coaster Tycoon World! Apparently physical copies have started appearing in some stores (mainly Germany) but the game is unplayeable until it's release on stream. According to the stores in question this was the release date they were given, but Atari decided otherwise... Personally I'd say don't buy RCTWorld at all because what we've seen so far is nothing short of a train wreck. besides the very informative video Nerd3 did that I'll post below there's been a lot of controversy about the promotional material stealing assets from NoLimits 2. On the other hand Planet Coaster just entered Pre-Alpha and that already looks stunning!
I wouldn't bother with RCTW, having played the planet coaster alpha for the past few days it's really shaping up to be an amazing game, can't wait for more features and content to be released over the next 6 months before the final release. you can tell from the many planet coaster live streams how passionate the developers are and many also theme park/roller coaster enthusiast themselves, they have even gone into as much detail as ensuring each coaster type as the exact Number of bolts as the real version of the coaster!
I gave up all hope on RCTW a long time ago. I've already pre ordered Planet Coaster and have no intention of even dabbling with RCTW.
Planet Coaster looks far superior at the moment, going to be immense considering all the stuff they still have to put in.
