From Screamscape:
2014/2015 - Circus Circus - New COASTER & Water Play Area - (12/27/12) Screamscape sources tell us that Circus Circus may be adding a new coaster to the Adventuredome by late 2013. If all goes as planned, I've heard that they have hired S&S to design a custom El Loco style coaster design for the casino's enclosed theme park. Stay tuned for more!

The Adventuredome at Circus Circus already has...

I wonder if they'll go for cars with two rows of four like the ones used on Green Lantern at Movie World in Australia?

I can never hear the name Circus Circus without thinking of Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas :D

Is it just me that can't take those particular S&S coasters seriously? They just look primitive, what with the narrow birail (even on the vertical drops) and the bright colours.

It's depressing how something like that has more of an impactful opening event than the coasters at Alton towers...

I personally love El Locos. They offer a unique ride, they look distinctive, they're smooth, they're inexpensive and they have a tiny footprint. No other coaster model can do what they do in the same space. I think they're an all round, really neat product. I'm intrigued to see what a custom model will look like particularly in a confined environment like Adventuredome.

Also, they remind me of these:

Which are great.

Even their Vekoma Junior coaster got a bigger opening...

I agree with CGM really. The S&S El Loco is really quite a fun ride and offers a lot for something so small. You only have to look at rides like Timber Drop to see how much better they come across when they're themed to a reasonable standard.

The only thing I wasn't much for when I went on Mumbo Jumbo was the blood running to my head during the downhill barrel-roll, but other than that, I had fun!

:)

Screamscape has posted that the Adventuredome at Circus Circus Casino has confirmed their new roller coaster to be an S&S El Loco which will simply be called 'El Loco. -___-

2013/2014 - Circus Circus - New COASTER & Water Play Area - (2/8/13) Circus Circus has officially announced their new roller coaster coming to the Adventuredome, and they will actually just call it “El Loco”. Made by S&S Worldwide, the new coaster is expected to be ready to open for guests by December 2013 and will be only the second El Loco style coaster in the US.

Inventive! ;)

Re: S&S El Loco for Circus Circus Las Vegas

Finally some photos have arrived! Oh, and new 2x2 seater cars too, according to Screamscape:

2013/2014 - Circus Circus - New COASTER & Water Play Area - (2/11/13) The Adventuredome posted a picture of Facebook showing off approximately how El Loco will look once added inside the dome. While this is a photoshop job adding one of the other El Loco coasters into the dome, I’m told that the final layout of the coaster will be somewhat customized, as to fit it all into the footprint.
I’ve heard unofficially that while the coaster will have an onboard soundtrack like Green Lantern, it will use a new style car that will feature the same 2 rows of 2-seats across as the original El Loco coasters, but will have the onboard audio and more open cars with the newer lap-bar restraint system used on the Green Lantern coaster in Australia.
Meanwhile inside the big pink dome, they are not wasting any time removing the Rim Runner to make room. A reader reports in that they have already removed all the boats from the dome and have already removed the chute portion of the big drop from the rock façade, which you can see in photo they sent.

Mumbo Jumbo in Vegas then? Out of interest, do S&S just do the stock version of this or can you get customised track versions? :)

I assume if you have the money and your idea is possible, S&S would be more than happy to build on their El Loco design.

With each new El Loco they made the drop 1 degree steeper so I don't think it'd be weird to see some variations on this new version.

The new trains are a start though. :)

Sorry but, this place had a ride called Rim Runner?

*giggles*

Those restraints aren't new, they used the same ones on Green Lantern Coaster in 2011. Interesting that they've gone back to the smaller cars rather than 2 rows of 4 though, maybe they're a more expensive option?

Yeah, glad to see they didn't go back to those horrible shoulder restraints. They really weren't great on Mumbo Jumbo as the op pushed them right into my shoulders so I had no room at all. And I wouldn't be surprised if they've got smaller cars because of cost. The Adventuredome doesn't look like the most spectacular place in Vegas. :p

Why do Vegas casinos always build stupid coasters? have they no sense of class?

....Sorry, forgot where I was talking about for a second. *lets self out*
