After months of build up and weeks of reading the reviews, this was the one I was most looking forward to, and it duly delivered. The queue line was small and the audio could have been turned up a notch, but apart from that there was lots of tension. We entered a briefing section which really started to build it up, and then the control room which again really started to get your blood pumping. The next scene was brilliantly executed, once we had all lined up against the wall, the actor inside there had already spotted two young couple who were quickly split up, but for one of the couples, the girl refused to go through the door on her own and eventually pushed her way back into the room with us, but instead her boyfriend went into door 2 on his own. The rest of us went through door 3. The maze itself was brilliant, some great theming and was very extreme. Lots of different possible routes and actors really tormenting you. About 5 minutes in I was split up, as we made our way to the first square kind of tunnel bit, the actor saw that I was at the back and that I was grabbing on the person in front of me, and called me a 'scaredy cat', and grabbed me and sent me around a small section were there was three or four actors who kept sending me round in circles laughing to themselves. After spending the guide rope room on my own I found our group in which I think was a bed, kind of ward section? Anyways, the ending was intense and I heard the chainsaw from behind me and as I ran to the exit one of the aliens grabbed my shirt but I managed to get lose and legged it out. All in all, it was a very enjoyable maze, very very intense and extreme. Quality attraction from Alton Towers! 10/10
