Scarefest 2021
Fright Nights has been really below par in recent years, some awful mazes and atmosphere. Ever since they started making IP mazes (Cabin excluded) it’s gone down hill in my opinion
But yeah would be great to see Alton have better marketing for Scarefest. Some of promotional videos for new mazes lately have been so amateurish. The announcements themselves have just come out of the blue, no teasers or anything

Trick o' Treat Town, im trying to normalise calling it TTT because Trick o' Treat Town is a bugger to type and we can't really call it ToTT can we?
Beaten to it
Anyway, I forgot to mention, Darkest Depths is now listed under the family section aswell, it's in its its own category along with The Dungeons...

Ah, I thought it was strange that DD was under the 15+ section. Still, some had hope that it would be taking a slightly different approach, even if it was unusual. So the lineup is truly unaltered this year...Trick o' Treat Town, im trying to normalise calling it TTT because Trick o' Treat Town is a bugger to type and we can't really call it ToTT can we?

On the booking portal DD is still listed as 15+ and part of the multi-maze ticket. Wouldn't have thought they'd be able to change anything now that tickets are on sale.Trick o' Treat Town, im trying to normalise calling it TTT because Trick o' Treat Town is a bugger to type and we can't really call it ToTT can we?

Edit: Just looked and it's still on the thrill maze section of the main website too. DD is definitely a 15+ thrill maze this year.

Altonville Mine Tours is now the second placed scare attraction for most seasons at Scarefest at 6. It was previously tied with Sub Species: The End Games on 5, surely this has to be it's last season?

I'm confident SS will return in future years when covid restrictions are fully gone

I'm not sure, I kind of feel like it had its time during its 5 seasons. I think I'd rather something fresh.I'm confident SS will return in future years when covid restrictions are fully gone

I thought that last year... and this year... I have heard good things about it but surely after 6 years it gets old?Altonville Mine Tours is now the second placed scare attraction for most seasons at Scarefest at 6. I've enjoyed it every time don't get me wrong, it's often been the strongest maze, but it's just so predictable now, that it needs to be replaced for 2022.I thought that last year... and this year... I have heard good things about it but surely after 6 years it gets old?

To be fair I agree, I'm just more than anything wanting something of the same intensity thats also an ACTUAL maze and not a conga line walkthroughI'm not sure, I kind of feel like it had its time during its 5 seasons. I think I'd rather something fresh.

To be fair, the "hands on shoulders" mazes went a few years ago, I get you're in a line on The Attic, AMT, Darkest Depths, Toxic Junkyard, but it doesn't feel "conga liney-esque". I'd imagine groups will be of bigger sizes this year though than just your own party, but we'll have to see.

Yeah I just meant the general gist of walking one after another in a line, I preferred how in SS you had to actually find your way outTo be fair, the "hands on shoulders" mazes went a few years ago, I get you're in a line on The Attic, AMT, Darkest Depths, Toxic Junkyard, but it doesn't feel "conga liney-esque". I can understand that as the finale of SS was more "maze" like with dead ends and such. Personally I'm not sure if I'd cope with a maze that intense, but if it comes back next year I might give it a try.Yeah I just meant the general gist of walking one after another in a line, I preferred how in SS you had to actually find your way out

Sometimes it was fantastic, yet other times I had a run it was really, really poor.I can understand that as the finale of SS was more "maze" like with dead ends and such. Personally I'm not sure if I'd cope with a maze that intense, but if it comes back next year I might give it a try.
