Strange Roller Coasters

Superman is slightly different - the first corner is slightly longer so the next section of track crosses over the launch track. Senzafiato's layout is basically Rita's with an added top hat.

I've always though Senzafiato looks pretty bland. The top had seems to add little to the ride, and the launch and layout is much slower than Rita. To quote rollercoasterphilosophy.com

The initial launch and jolt up the not-quite-vertical 59 foot tophat are about as crazy as things get, which is to say they manage to be genuinely fun. The rest of the layout is like watching the kindergarten fun run; you gotta give it a gold sticker just for the smile and the effort.

... it’s a small roller coaster of small pleasures.

It is an exact clone of Rita, but smaller and with a top hat.

Superman has a dark ride section, different shaping and the last hill isn't s-shaped.

Dear me, they placed a lot of faith in that ferries wheel system didn't they! The ride is literally inoperable if it isn't working, even for testing.

I saw an entire documentary about that park when it first opened under the Hard Rock branding. The Led Zeppelin B&M looks atrocious, though I do like how quirky Maximum RPM is with the Ferris Wheel opening. The weird suspended thing doesn't look too bad either.

I've heard that the park may change hands and reopen soon so maybe it wasn't a total waste of time after all? :p Still, it's a shame it didn't work the first time and if it fails again then they'll hopefully just sell the rides so they aren't just left SBNO. If not then something like half a theme park and half a shopping centre might win people over?

You could say the same about a normal lift hill, elevator or launch ;)
In fact that Ferris Wheel design is much more basic and reliable than a lunch.

It's a shame that even if Hard Rock Park was ever to return they've already gutted their best ride:

Sally Corporation | Nights in White Satin - The Trip

Ah yes, "The Trip". Such a shame none of us will ever get to ride it now :( Can you imagine what a head**** that would be if you actually were on acid? :p

Who does acutel come up with these kind of ideas. A Farris wheel lift hill it's insane

I know ha-ha! I'm not putting any of my crazy coaster ideas online, they'll probably get ripped off by some crazed coaster science lab somewhere... I'll keep them and make my millions one day!

Just fixing that :p

World's Greatest Pinfari Coasters

Though I've probably posted at least one of these already, yesterday I was challenged to find decent rides made by Pinfari. Now obviously that will be down to everyone's opinion but these are four which stood out for me...

I'll kick off with two of the best examples of Pinfari's kiddie coasters which are both located at Fiabilandia in Italy.

The first is Miniera d'Oro Del West:

This attraction focuses on theming rather than the actual ride layout and experience, which is why it creeps along and doesn't go too fast. Here are a couple of pictures from RCDB...

The other decent kids Pinfari at Fiabilandia is Valle degli Gnomi:

Pretty much the same idea as the one above except this one looks a little more exciting and has some pretty great theming and effects (even though it's still a bit tatty :p ). Again, here are a couple of pictures from RCDB...

The third Pinfari that I feel isn't so bad is the Treno Delle Miniere which is SBNO at Luneur Park, again in Italy. It looks like it's... it was the best themed Pinfari in existence and some of the theming elements are quite wacky, as you'll see below...

The fourth Pinfari (an off the shelf model) here is probably one of the most thrilling rides they ever devised. The particular version is Star Flyer from Star City in the Philippines. The reason that this stood out from the others was due to the first photo below which kind of makes it look like what would happen of you were to cross a Vekoma SLC with the Smiler and then downsize it into a travelling roller coaster! :p

Unfortunately the best quality POV I could find of this ride is this...

One of Flamingo Land's past rides was Thunder Mountain, a Zyklon Z40. Though the ride again isn't anything special, the exterior theming and enclosed aspect helped it become so much more than pieces of steel cobbled together to create some form of attraction.

Anyone familiar with M&D's will be able to tell me whether this next off the shelf model from Pinfari is thrilling or not. It's Tornado, and from these follwoing images and POV, it certainly looks like one of the most terrifying creations ever conceived... :p

Interpark, the successor of Pinfari, has made quite a neat little travelling coaster here in the form of the Wild Wind. There are two models on RCDB with images to view (one at Circle of Fun in the Philippines and another at Adam Park in Tunisia). Here's a couple of videos of them in action...

And now for the grand finale! This final Pinfari has one of the daftest names in existence and I'm including it purely for that reason! :p Introducing....

Big Ohhhh!

That really is its name! :p

So I guess you'd like to see some evidence of this?

'Big Ohhhh!' is a Zyklon Z64 located at Fun Plex in the USA. POV?

That's all, folks!

I thought when I saw the preview of your post on Tapatalk that this was going to be a mickey take ;) Although the theming does look good on those coasters, it's hardly attributable to Pinfari themselves. Having said that, that Dinosaur skeleton is very impressive!

It's more of a collection of their best rides and the rides which have been put to the best use, isn't it. I've also been told about a megalite-esque coaster they built which will be added in due course. Ah well! :p

A thrilling Pinfari? Aside from that vile specimen at M&D's, I didn't think they existed ;)

Someone has probably already posted it either on here or back on TTF. I think I can recall seeing it too, but I thought I'd include it seen as I was posting the only other two that the company has made.

Seemed a shame to leave it out. :p
