It is an interesting argument that Wickerman's success is partly because its a Secret Weapon that did not try to be a Worlds First.
In reality, they are only competing nationally (for 99.9% of their audience), so having attractions distinct within the UK, but not worlds first, is going to be just as effective.
I would not want another Secret Weapon at all, unless one of the existing ones is being retired. The park has a good set of Star attractions, itis the mid tier depth (flat rides, dark rides, walk throughs etc] that needs attention.
They would be better off addressing the question of what do guests expect to find in a world class theme park; and how could we get there. That would see them put some focus on the basics like food, entertainment, horticulture, car parking, path and queue maintenance, fastrack priorities etc.
