It is an interesting argument that Wickerman's success is partly because its a Secret Weapon that did not try to be a Worlds First.
In reality, they are only competing nationally (for 99.9% of their audience), so having attractions distinct within the UK, but not worlds first, is going to be just as effective.

I would not want another Secret Weapon at all, unless one of the existing ones is being retired. The park has a good set of Star attractions, itis the mid tier depth (flat rides, dark rides, walk throughs etc] that needs attention.

They would be better off addressing the question of what do guests expect to find in a world class theme park; and how could we get there. That would see them put some focus on the basics like food, entertainment, horticulture, car parking, path and queue maintenance, fastrack priorities etc.

If we could somehow combine what Chessington is doing with what Alton Towers is doing and get a super-park then it would be great. Chessington suffers from not building big high-capacity stuff and Alton Towers suffers from not building smaller mid-tier stuff.

At the moment Alton Towers needs
A replacement for Charlie & Choc Factory / Toyland Tours (should be added as David Walliams)
Replacement for Twirling Toadstool (should be added with Walliams)
Replacement for Energizer / Bone Shaker
Replacement for Submission
Replacement for Ripsaw
Repaired Blade
New Dark ride in the old Nickelodeon space
New mid-tier coaster (might need to replace Spinball) located at rear of park between Dungeon and the theatre
New live show in the old Ice Age theatre (or maybe new 4D show)
New live Muntiny Bay show (or another live show)
Some kind of Mascot that isn't CBeebies for photo ops.

I thought they did try and make the Wicker Man a Worlds First ride, until someone pointed out to them that infusing wood and fire was not original to a woody and they were told to remove the "Worlds First" tagline from their advertising?

Sir Algernon is a good character, well chosen for the setting of AT.
Henry has the advantage of being more attractive as a plush, and could really pull of a whole retro 1980s concept.

It hope we don't get Raj the Shopkeeper, a boy in a dress or Gangsta Granny walking around.... I can go into Hanley for that any day of the week [bad joke].

I'd be happy for them to replace Rita with a double launch coaster if they can fit it in somewhere. We need a launch coaster at Towers that there's no way that the S&S coaster would replace Rita, it's popular, fairly reliable and does it's job.
