Team Changes

Craig

TS Administrator
Well we’re just into 2014, and it’s time we had a bit of a rejig of the current team structure. Over the coming months, we’ll be pushing to complete the TowersStreet website, and we’ll also be aiming to improve discussion across the forum.

So, kicking off with the bad news first of all. James (Still GAGrathea after I changed his username some time ago!) has decided to leave the team, due to him feeling he’s not able to commit enough time to his role. James has been around since the beginning, and along with the rest of the team worked hard to get the site to where it is today. We’ll be sorry to see him leave, but thankfully he’ll still be sticking around on TowersStreet as a member :).

We’ve also made the decision to have a separate forum and site team, in order to better focus our efforts to getting TowersStreet to where we want it to be. We have some new faces, and some of our current team are also moving onto new roles.

The four new faces are as a result of the team member applications at the end of 2013. I'd like to thank everyone who applied, and sorry for the delay in announcing - we had far more applications than we expected. To those that applied - please don't be downhearted that you weren't picked, the standard was extremely high!

So without further ado, the TowersStreet Team now consists of:

Forum Team

Astrodan - As well as looking after the forum, Dan will also be continuing to organise our TowersStreet meets throughout the year
Scott - Scott will continue as a forum team member
Ben - Your unfriendly Tavern Landlord
Andrew - Joining us after working on YourStreet, Andrew is already a well established poster on our forum.
Alastair - Like Andrew, Alastair is a long time poster on TowersStreet and also worked on YourStreet articles.

Site Team

Dave - Dave has worked extensively on developing the site previously, and will now move from the forum to the site to head up developing it further alongside Sazzle.
Sazzle - After slaving away on the galleries for so long, Sazzle has decided to move to the site team to move the website side of things forward
Ian - Ian will be continuing the hard work he has already been doing on the website.
Lottie - Another of our original YourStreet authors, and after previously working on Chessington Buzz, Lottie joins us as a writer for our website and news sections.
benvincer - Joining us from YourStreet (do you see a pattern forming here?!), Ben will be mainly working on new features for TowersStreet
Squiggs - Squiggles will be continuing his work on TowersStreet, specialising in our history section.
Wilsy - Wilsy will be moving from our forum team onto the site team, continuing his work on general site updates and on features such as our member awards.
djtruefitt - Mike will continue his hard work on our social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter

Myself and Joel will also be sticking around as administrators to oversee the work on the site.

I hope you’ll all join me in welcome Lottie, Ben, Andrew and Alastair to the team, and also thank James for his work over the time since we first started TowersStreet.

There’s quite a lot of work to be done to move things forward in the next few weeks, and we’ll need to allow some time for the team to get used to their new roles. Obviously, we now have considerably fewer Contribute authors, and we’ll be announcing further information about this in due course.

Congratulations and best of luck to all the new team members! And best of luck to GAGrathea in the future, thanks to your contribution to the site.

Aw...

Just wanna say thanks so much to everyone who's made TowersStreet what it is today, we love all of you (some more than others but yaknow), and I'm so proud to have been part of this ridiculous thing :)

Know I'll see every single one of you at some point in the coming season, like it or not, and I'll still be as active on the forums as I always was (bwahaha).

Massive welcome hugs to the new team members as well, who are far better (and more attractive) than me, and will no doubt do wonderful things. And obviously all my love to every single one of the Team, who've kept me insane day after day, and have never let me miss a minute of Joel & Ian's uni life. :p

Aaaand who knows, maybe one day I'll get a coloured name again...if they'll have me back.

Until then - Choo Choo!

w-w-was that soppy enough, Craig? I tried...

CRAIG!

You forgot to mention that we're rebranding to EuropaStreet from the 1st February? Pffft.
