The Alton Towers Music, Video and Other Multimedia Thread

Music at Towers has been a big positive this year but I'm not sure there was anything wrong with the existing music in Mutiny Bay. This clip seems a little too menacing as area music for what is a family area.

I would've loved to see the piccolo/bass clarinet/bassoon combo in Mutiny Bay (a la 0:10 and 1:15 in the classic Disney Pirates track below). Such a classic sound!

I have to disagree, although I understand you probably had a brief. The accordion/picc/bassoon/bass clarinet I would still say are most associated with the "pirate" feel.

That is really fantastic work Nick. It's got that whimsical magical feel to it (perfect for a theme park) with a bit of a nod to Danny Elfman in parts. Also reminds me of Graham Smart's style from the 90's which I think a lot of people here loved, although yours feels more modern and high quality.

The park closed on the 6th of November. Santa's Sleepover is a special package offered including a hotel stay, selected ridfes and the chance to meet Santa. As the park isn't open there is no admission options.
 
Not entirely certain, but I'm sure I heard this played outside house of monsters at scarefest.


Merlin like to reuse their music across different attractions, so it wouldn't surprise me. might be wrong though, it's been ages since scarefest.
 
A rather random request but does anyone know if the unreleased flume media (queueline bridge announcements, sitdown in your bathtub, don't splash etc) is knocking around at all anywhere now the ride is no more? Also, anyone tracked down the Skyride 2008 theme? It's a variation of the old TS riff but it's never seen the light of day unlike most of the rest of the suite.

Plus, I'm not sure if these are out there or not but some of you may really like to listen to these old school tracks (one being extremely old school!)...I happened to discover them in a random folder:

Did anyone manage to get some/all of the music and videos from TowersNerd before it was pretty much abandoned?
 
I always wondered what happened to Towers Nerd. The site went quiet a few years ago but they always kept up with the Live feed for special events. That hasn't happened for a long time either.
