If I read it wrong I apologise but It depends on your definition of fresh produce.
Are you counting frozen product imported and then defrosted and sold as fresh as well? How about the produce not imported from Europe but the rest of the world? also in the “public” figures does it separate Ireland from the EU because Ireland will still be exporting produce to the UK as it basically their only market.
Like I said this is my area of expertise, I also know all the tricks that go on to gain EU subsidies, UK government grants etc. etc. don’t believe what you read.
It would truly be unpalatable to most what goes on in the food industry, it’s all about making the most amount of money possible.

Former Australian PM on Question time this week saying that Australia are not happy with their current WTO trade arrangement and are pushing for a deal. And that's Australia. A country nowhere near as reliant on the single market as Britain in.
Brexiteers didn't have a clue what they were voting for. Immigration was the only thing most of them considered. For all the rest of the valid concerns many of us have they just say 'project fear' and nothing will change.
We are heading for a bleak time guys. I don't think people truly understand what it coming. The country is going to suffer massively due to the aftermath of covid and no deal Brexit. I'd be looking to get out if I hadn't settled down and started a family. I'd advise anyone with a brain to do so if their circumstances allow it.

I know we had the virus but the government had a year to sort out trade deals.
I talk to my grandad and Parents what it was like before we joined the EU and they say poor as unions played a big part in getting most businesses to go on strike. I can see next year been worst than this year but the uk will get thought it like it’s done for the past £200+ years

What is a "European Research Group" exactly? I mean, surely "European Disunity Group" or "Xenophobic Gammon Rhetoric Group" would be more appropriate? They're not researching French cheese, Italian coffee and German cars are they?

I cannot tell you how much I am hanging on this news.
Of course, I am fiercely against Brexit - but with it happening, a deal is so vital.
It's funny that Johnson and Co. have said that No Deal would be satisfactory - if that was the case, they wouldn't be at the table at the eleventh hour!

The other side have to believe that's the case whether it's true or not, otherwise you are starting the negotiations already bent over the table with your pants down.

I think you're missing the point a bit, I don't like the guy but he has arguably had a bigger effect on British & European politics than some people who have won 7 elections.
He's already doing the rounds saying pretty much that, just heard him on LBC. He was also talking about the importance of delaying the announcement further into Christmas Eve so the detail gets lost over the Christmas period, before a parliamentary vote. I don't disagree that is likely part of the thinking if there is stuff in there that is contentious.
