After 11 years in my place of employment, they have decided to upsticks to a different continent. Which did give me the kick up the jacksy I needed to pursue employment elsewhere. This week I signed a contract for a new job to start on the next working day
After a few weeks of stressing out it finally feels good to have a plan and now to be involved in a project that seems very exciting.
The only downside is I'll officially be jobless on my birthday weekend

Free beer in Mme Crevettes if you do Mr Jones.
Thank you rob666, that is a very kind and very tempting offer. I'll pm you closer to the time to confirm.
Carrying on from the "I feel meh" topic where this was posted:
I am happy to report that a month on, the plane has now been recovered (catapult failed to reach it, laser said it was 19 meters up).
It took a month and survived 60mph winds a few weeks back, but eventually dropped to a point about 10 meters up in the tree where it could be reached by my super technical ground breaking recovery equipment, also known as two overflow piped joined together.
Unfortunately, the plane immediately ended up in the river below, but in true model aviator tradition that didn't stop me and and immediate river recovery was dispatched.
So far only my socks and the lens in one of the cameras are shot, the rest of it is fine and could, if I wanted, have been flying again within a few hours, but I choose a bath over flying, never realised water was so cold. My phone is also shot I think, forgot it was in my pocket... LOL
So I'm no longer "meh" but "happy".
My favourite plane is stuck 15 meters up in a tree![]()
How are you going to get it down?
Last time we used a catapult, fishing line and some lead weight to grab ahold of the branch and shake it loose, but it's fairly well dug into the tree this time, it was going at quiet some rate and I couldn't see the branches cos they didn't have leaves on them so it went in full chat, plus it's in an awkward place. Will go back out tomorrow to see if it's blown down during the night.

Sooooo this year hasn't been one of the best but if you'd said that I'd be decent at going glam/Instagram style makeup by the end of the year I'd have laughed in your face, after my 4th visit to the PLouise academy yesterday I'm pretty damn proud of my work that I produced.

Well reorganization at work is moving on. Restructure of the department i am in has come to an end. My old position of maintainace and daily fleet operations has gone.
On the second of Jan. I am in the post of senior caretaker of a campus. Not my old base campus. But the one i was seconded to for the last 2 months ago after a caretaker left.
So i got a promotion.
