Feeling far too smug about finishing the first edit of my music video within 3 hours, with time to spare to render the entire workspace before lunch break, as the placement of clips have slotted in very well (some almost seamlessly) in conjunction with my original shooting script minus a few minor alterations.
If my cinematic calculations are correct, I should have the entire project completed by 4pm and therefore less work on my mind this month!

I am just in a happy mood today. Woke up about an hour ago. Its nice and sunny and its warm sitting here looking out at the sun.
Got a trip to Krakow coming up and I keep getting little waves of excitement every so often thinking about the trip. Got some ideas of what we want to go and see and do.
Just in a good mood which is rare when working nights

Got myself a new job, only a few days after leaving my old, stressful one

My good news is work related too - my job is secure until the end of June
(I'm only given 3 months at a time for some reason, even though I've been there for a year now, so it gets a little nervy near the end of those months)
And on top of that, a very silly meeting on Friday afternoon reminded me of just how much I like the place. Does my head in sometimes, but generally, it's a great atmosphere - AND we've just changed management from a guy I didn't really get on with to someone who (judging purely from the first week...) might be really good; he's worked out exactly how to deal with me already

You have no idea how happy this makes me.

First day at work went really well - it's low stress, at a nice small company. Easy commute, too! It's the ideal job for me at the moment, but having had a taste of the stupidly high wages you get from contracting I think I'll return to that profession sometime in the future. But for now, I'd rather have no stress.

SLC said:Most likely getting tickets for the Sunday of Download FestivalNot really a metal fan so not many of the bands appeal to me, but I'm looking forwards to seeing 30 Seconds to Mars and The Gaslight Anthem.
If you don't see Rammstein......
But yay for another person

As a handful of you may have picked up, I wrote off my car in truly spectacular fashion en route to work yesterday - misjudged a slippery corner, hit a fence and rolled it at least once; very scary stuff.
Why's this good news, I hear you ask? Thanks to the miracle of Renault's safety features, a quick trip to A&E proved I'm absolutely fine aside from a load of small grazes on my right hand and wrist, so I'm feeling like a lucky man and in general more glad to be alive than I've felt in years
Also, because I work and live in a silly place that's basically not do-able without a car, I've given myself the rest of this week off to recover, and shop for the replacement - reckon I'll be rather a lot more cautious now, so want to get 'back in the saddle' as soon as possible.

This weekend I cooked my first ever roast dinner for my boyfriend and housemate, it didn't kill them and they really enjoyed it. They have agreed to let me start cooking more which I don't mind as I stay over about 2 nights a week and don't pay any rent, but they hardly have anything cooking untensils or the basic ingredients. :

A roast dinner seems fairly simple to cook, but making a good one is the most satisfying food you can make. I love a good roast!
