Ive enjoyed the game and unlocked it all etc, I am playing the wheel of win daily - it doesnt take much once you have unlocked it to earn enough points for 10 spins and you never know, someone has to win these things!

as far as the scanner goes, Ive only known what to try and scan from what people have written up on here. Im pretty sure mr jo public wouldnt think to scan say the AT logo without being given some clues first.

Also, whats with the rainbow coloured stairs in the station?!

Scanning elements of the Sun pullout from yesterday makes stuff appear... A CCTV camera comes out at one point.

Anyone actually won on the WHEEL OF LOSS yet?

Nope, been spinning 10 times a day since release :/

Of all the elements of the game, this one is a bit of a disappointment. Would have been nice to have tons of tiny daft prizes to pick up when it opens and a couple of big prizes IMO. It's obvious to anyone after a short while it is totally rigged and that makes it feel less fun I think.

It is hard to stay motivated to get the spins when it is that obvious.

It's not rigged though? Your chances of winning are just small.

It would be nice for there to have been more prizes but when you look at the list in the Ts & Cs you know you have no chance xD

I can appreciate they have tried to make an 'exciting' and 'fun' way of maybe winning a prize. But it does seem a pointless exercise with so little winners and prizes. Maybe they just should have done an "enter your details here to take part in our prize draw, we'll be in touch by this date if you're selected as a winner, good luck!" sort of thing instead.

Rigged is the wrong word and right word, not rigged in the sense of fixed/cheating, but rigged in the way there will clearly be predetermined times or something along those lines. It doesn't feel at all random.

Anyway, it is a small criticism, it just hasn't kept me interested - if it felt a bit more random it may well have done.

Perhaps both, when you enter wheel of win you are entered into a draw as well for say a simple weekly prize - just something to keep it moving. Again though I bet this was planned before the delays happened, may have been different otherwise.

It is rigged, when spinning that wheel there should be a high chance of winning according to the size of the 'win' areas in comparison to the 'loss.' It's not a fair spin, which is implied.

Throwing in some Smiler merchandise to the prize line-up that have a bit easier to win might have been a good idea. The odd key ring here and a pencil case there, etc...! :p

My high score is 15779. Still trying to reach 16000.

Yeah, with the very limited amount of prizes it makes the chances of winning very slim.

I agree with many that more prizes should have been added. In game prizes such as extra points could have been one, clues for the game scanner and some Smiler merchandise could have been another. Some more theme park tickets may have been useful too, or even discount vouchers for theme park entry.

Exactly my point, as many others have alluded to.

Crikey, I'd take a signed picture of Morwenna right now.

Maths is not my stong point. Hell, I struggle to count higher than "one, two, many"... but suely the odds are exactly the same every time you spin? So it soesn't matter if you play once or a thousand times, you still have just as little chance of winning...?
I believe this is how casinos make their millions: off people who think "if I keep throwing money at the man with the spinny thing, sooner or later I must win!" When actually it makes no difference.

Of course, since this is software and not a real physical wheel, it probably is rigged. ;)

It's clearly fixed. I've actually seen the wheel speed up when it was about to stop in the yellow. Several times.

Not that I'm bitter or anything...

It really is fixed, just as Blaze has said, it speeds up / slows down to avoid the 'win' zone.

I have had ten spins every day since it came out...

This game is not done on odds. In theory you have a 1 in 4 chance of winning. Likely?

(all of the spaces are evenly placed on the wheel, you have 2 black, 1 white and 1 win)

So far my odds are zero in 80. (or however many days its been out.)

No complaining too much though, at the end of the day it is a free game ( AT Related :D ) and there is a VERY small chance of winning something. (again with no cost involved)

It only works when you're connected to the Internet so at a guess it may just be programmed to let someone win every so often (at random). That is unless it requires the Internet to email you after you win, but surely it could still work and just keep that win stored on the app until you get a connection?

Anyway, if it's not the app that dictates whether you win or not and it is another computer elsewhere, chances are you've probably lost before the spinner has even began to slow down and you're just watching an animation for a loosing spin. :p

To be fair, they have to have some kind of control, or those prizes could be smashed in the first few days ;D

It is still none the less frustrating that it becomes so obvious more than anything.

Go on Alton, throw a couple of hundred silly prizes in that we have to turn up to collect... get where I am going with this Marketing Guru's?

Tap tap.... Hello? Anyone there? ... Mr Varney? Is that you?

It reminds me of the instant wins on the National Lottery website, i.e. as soon as you choose to spin the wheel the system decides whether you will be a winner, regardless of the way it is spun etc.

The fact you have to be connected to the internet sort of reinforces this as a high probability.

Lets hope on the next game update they add loads of new prizes, eg 100 free points, a Smiler mug, waterpark tickets, etc, even some exclusive content or track feature. Just minor prizes but worth playing for.
