The Smiler - General Discussion

When yellow, grey and black dominates that whole pit, a new colour is actually quite pleasing to the eyes regardless of how daft it looks :sweatsmile:

Good to see the yellow is getting freshened up a bit though for what it's worth.
 
At the park today and smiler is on the best ops I have ever seen it (on 4 trains and pumped out). Queue isn’t really going past the first set of cattle pen outside and is massively overstated on the app.

It’s really weird though, one train was running as smooth as butter with even the infamous 12th inversion not being that bad, and then got on again just to get the worst ride I think I have ever had on smiler; the whole train was visibly shaking and making a very noticeable loud rattle sound throughout. Still love the ride to bits though!

Sounds like another ride on the other side of the park…
 
Not sure how long it’s been there as I’ve not done the smiler in a while, but they’re added some new aircon units in the station, one near merge, one above the host at the exit and one above the host on the onload time. They weren’t on today but they looked ready to go.

However one place they definitely need aircon adding is the indoor queue line, it’s a complete sweat box in there.
