Its really unfair to paint all vloggers with the same brush people like cupakes and coasters had nothing to with this and it would be unfair if they cannot do it any more becuase of a few morally infedicable people
 
As I've said before in this thread a long time ago. I have no problem with Vloggers as such but I feel they should be giving honest opinions if they want to help their audience. They are not going to do this if they fear a park getting upset if they criticise a park and not giving them the free pass/fastpass/hotel stay/PR perks.

It's not just theme park vloggers, it's product reviewers, make up/fashion influencers. I'd much rather hear peoples honest opinions rather than have opinions that have that little niggle in them that they are being careful not to upset the marketing teams.

I think Shawn has done a fantastic job over the years in building his channel, i'm not sure what will happen now but I know he's enlightened me on quite a few new attractions. It's a shame to see some of these accusations and it clearly hasn't been handled well but also that comes down to it being a one man band type of operation. You'd like to think that YouTube would offer more professional guidance for creators because when it all goes wrong i'm sure YouTube wont be there to help pick up the pieces.

I don't think anyone is calling for no vloggers, just that they should be treated the same as all newpapers, TV news etc and have to get permission from the media team to film for commercial purposes.
 
If this gets much bigger, could it actually reach local news in Staffordshire? While I know 200,000 subscribers isn’t that many compared to some YouTubers (I think the YouTuber with the most subscribers has not far off 50 million), Shawn & his team do seem pretty well known in the local area.

This is certainly the biggest scandal I’ve ever personally seen surrounding the theme park community...

in 2018 there was a whole butch of allegations of bullying and sexual harassment about the CEO of a youtube channel called channel awesome and he resigned after a week of pressuriser and losing lots of Twitter followers and subscribers.
 
Just seen on the old twitterverse that as many as 15 girls have now come forward and not just about 1 of them either. Several names have been mentioned.

And one of his regular guests, probably the one to appear more than anyone bar Shawn, has been mentioned countless times.

There's no denying this I don't think. If it was 1 girl you could say that it's plausible it was made up and perhaps revenge for being ignored on social media or whatever silly reason they had. No way with this many.

Absolutely appalling. If he turns up at Blackpool or Towers this weekend with all this going on then he's got god damn balls of steel. I don't think he will though.

He will turn up as he thinks it will just go away overnight. I think if people turn on him or keep asking him about it then he will soon realise that the approach he has made is the wrong one.

If he's got even moderately responsible parents they will advise him against it surely. It just won't look good.

Any responsible adult would of seen how Quickly this is spreading and taken a step back and went on pause till it calms down. He has shown he has no intention of doing that so I’m positive he will just rock up at any theme park over the weekend and hopes he gets a warm welcome.
 
I can’t believe that the video that sparked these allegations to come to light which features two of the people accused of sexual predatory behaviour is still up on YouTube. Not only that but TPWW are ‘liking’ comments made on the video even as recently as a couple of hours ago. There is zero regard for victims.

This video should be taken down at least in the short term. He clearly is either living in denial or only cares about the views and revenue.

The fact he still plans to attend Alton Towers tomorrow and film a vlog considering the circumstances is also unbelievable.
 
I hope that this doesnt ruin things for other people who enjoy sharing experiences on their youtube channels. We have a new channel and very few followers at the moment, but give advice on what we feel works well in parks, talk about favourite rides and provide real life information for disabled guests attending parks that we have visited. Subscriptions withdrawn from all TPW related social media. Definitely think TPW need to have a good think before they start vlogging or showing up at theme parks.
