Yeah I doubt all the "haters" "you're just jealous" idiots have read through the whole thread of 30+ accusations. If they have done their research and still bang that drum then I find that deeply concerning.

After conversations with a few of them on Twitter the general gist I've got is that they refuse to read them as it's all "lies anyway". When you ask them what reason these people would have to lie, they seem to believe it's all a huge conspiracy to bring Shawn's channel down as we're all jealous.

In regard to the racism allegation, the most bizarre defence I've seen is "well it was in a private conversation so it doesn't matter". They don't really seem to understand this isn't a defence in it's slightest, and if you're racist around your friends then the likelihood is that you're racist full stop.

Now that essentially rape allergations have come forward. TPWW is now at very high risk of being demonitised.

YouTube and their advertisers have a total zero tolerance approach to that. YouTube stand to loose alot if they dont act with a heavy hand. For the sake of their selves.

You might remember the allegations about Michael Jackson - the victims were (and probably still are) persecuted by some of his fans. These are people who did not know the victim and didn't know Michael Jackson, but instantly jump to the defence of their idol. You could draw parallels here.

Hi all,

First time poster after being an observer of these boards for over a year. I just wanted to give my perspective on this serious matter.

First of all let's be honest the majority of the TPWW gang are strange individuals that wouldn't be deemed as cool kids at school. So am I suprised that at least one of them if not more have had issues in dealing with interaction with the other sex ...No. They have probably never had a female look at them in their life leading up to these incidents, so have took advantage of their so called fake fame on innocent and naive individuals.

However this still is not going to stop me watching TPWW vlogs. I actually met Shawn and Charlotte for the first time on Sunday at BPB and found them more normal then I had expected. He took his time out to have a joke with my children and we discussed a couple rides etc. He didn't come off arrogant and never once whinged when individuals were interrupting him during filming.

The next question.. would I stop my children watching his vlogs because one of the allegations against his friend?..No.

I couldn't careless about these allegations that do not affect him personally and neither will the majority of people who watch his vlogs. Did Chris Brown allegedly beating up Rhianna stop people buying his music ...No. The Allegations surrounding MJ for all those years stop him from selling out the O2 before his death...No

So when these allegations are not even directed personally against Shawn then why should the everyday person care? How does it affect our life when all we want to see what Alton Towers looked like on its first day back in action?

People may not like what I have said but it's true out of the 200k odd subscribers, very little will care enough to result in any real impact to the channel. I will continue to support the channel and will ignore the vlogs that contain the individual in question (if he is ever seen again)and hope justice is carried out where necessary.

A blanket statement of empathising with all those who experience sexual abuse or harassment and that TPW has a zero tolerance policy on this would be a good start and wouldn't hinder any investigation

Fair enough, you are entitled to your opinion.

The issue is that Shawn has been made aware of things in the past, and yet has chosen to silence the victims rather than listen to what they have to say, He also continued to give individuals a platform, ignoring any warnings. That does make him complicit.

Secondly, there are accusations against Shawn for both racism and ableism, including proof of the former.

If you want to continue to support him despite all that, then you're basically putting a large middle finger up to each and every one of them victims, but you do you.

I agree with you Hannaypanda. The issue you I have is the blocking and silenceing of victims and those who have called them out. Dont forget its alledged the partner was informed and her responce was it was all a joke.

Reported, obviously 1 report isn’t enough but it’s something. TPWW will only take real notice when the income stream is affected.

Had my brother not found out about the paedophile nature of his friend only after he was arrested.... what would he have said, if online people had accused said friend of other things?

I imagine first and foremost if one of the incidents was when my brother was around, he would easily be able to say "I was with him, that never happened"..... perhaps forgetting a solo trip the friend may have made to the loo, or went back to his car for something. I also imagine he would (along with other good friends) have taken him to task over this, and when satisfied that these allegations can't be true for X, Y, Z reason, would most likely have believed their friend.

It is entirely possible, as someone said it's the nature of a sexual harasser, manipulator to lie, that Shawn did hear about things, but he himself was satisfied by what he had been told, evidence perhaps he was given him in defence of this person, that his friend had done nothing wrong.

To be quite honest, if my good friend was being accused online, I would be asking them first about everything, and if I was thinking "no, it couldn't possibly be", that wouldn't make me a bad person, even if it turns out I was wrong.

That's why so many families get torn apart when you do find a person you thought you knew, you thought you could trust be carted away for things you never had believed were possible.

With all due respect though, your brother wasn't running a popular YouTube channel with over 200,000 subs - a lot of whom were young children and families.

With fame, internet or not, comes responsibility. If the same people were reported numerous times then it becomes more than rumours, and needs to be properly addressed by Shawn. A simple "I didn't do it" doesn't really suffice.

To say Shawn didn't know about some things is dismissive at best. In several vlogs Shawn refers to one of the accused as "creepy", knowing full well how this nickname came about. He continued to allow that person on vlogs.

Does he control their Twitter accounts? No so he hasn't silenced them.

Does he control his own Twitter account ? Yes.

If people are chucking allegations on there, why wouldn't you delete them? What benefit does he get by leaving them on there? If that happened on a twitter page of any FTSE250 company they would delete the comments. It doesnt mean they are not being investigated behind the scenes?
