Hyperia Splash down v2 coming soon?

All of the splash down effects have been replaced

If the concrete got painted black I think this would look so much better...

I’m still confused on where the advertised lake and landscaping is going to be.

I’d rather have them do that then fix this

At the very end of this video they mention Monkey Swinger has left Chessington and has gone to another Merlin park ‘down the road’ - assume that’s Thorpe?

I think I'd need to be on the lookout for that when I'm next at Thorpe Park.

If it does go to Thorpe, it'd be perfect to add to the middle ground rides where it's enjoyable by a wide range of people.

Another strange “Merlin” choice with Thorpe already having plenty of flats and AT having a serious and well known flat ride problem? This has been going on for far too long now. Hopefully it’s just kept there for storage otherwise will make mildly livid

They could have literally stuck it in dark forest and barely changed the theme.

I don’t understand this either as you can barely see it off ride. There is no public viewing spots to see that entire back end of the ride or lake due to poor planning? The lake itself doesn’t cover both sides of the track so I’m not sure what effect they’re going for or bothering with as there is no illusion you have crashed down into water here.

See what I've done😟 Not only dissed the "People's Princess" (although Kate does a pretty good job), but I've mixed up Depth Charge and Storm Surge. Depth Charge is far more exciting!!

What are the operations like elsewhere @Alix? I notice that the longest queue other than Hyperia is only 35 minutes.

Hit and miss really... Queue looks short so it seems the whole park heads over there meaning queue suddenly hits 60+ minutes then rinse and repeat. Bailed on Swarm cos a 20 minute queue suddenly became 60. Saw was fine earlier but now down... It's not the worse day we've ever had, but it's not going as well as last Sunday did

At Forpe today and Hyperia is living up to her shonky reputation - one train and the queues are looooong
The second train is having problems, I'm not sure what exactly is going on but it "opened", closed without sending any riders along and then went to reduced capacity.

I think it's the roughness of the last couple of days as the train that is running is a lot smoother than the one I've been on Saturday with some rides.

P.S. I may as well live at Thorpe Park 🤣

Just spotted two staff in white tabards with "ask me about parking tickets and annual passes" so it seems they're now trying to flog passes to people wandering about the park!
