Nope there were only two ever built, and both are now gone.Don't know which was more terrifying - the ride or the fact the restraints were dodgy as hell!Not sure if there are any other flyswatters still out there???

It was one of the only rides which generally terrified me. If those restraints failed you really would be gone.
That's what made it so fun/terrifying. Can only think of X2 at 6FMM as being more uncomfortable. I'm sure if they used more modern restraints/locking mechanisms it would improve the throughput and still make it a great ride.
Always still worried that they need a seat-belt (often retro-fitted) to make a ride safe
At BPB Grand National I think the signs saying "DO NOT STAND UP" are still there - safety in the old days

I’m no scientist but surely most of them are perfectly safe without restraints - even the inverted ones ….. wouldn’t the g forces hold you in place?

At Blackpool, there was the occasional death, usually caused by idiots messing, but large numbers of people used to stand up on the National, riding it pretty much like a horse.
