To me that looks like the picsolve counter has been removed from Sealife.

Probably for the best since they started taking photos of you in front of a green screen rather than the actual physical theming they have there!
 
Is it me or does MCL seem like some kind of sham company that could be used to funnel profits from Merlin Ents. Though big budget rides are about to cost more than ever, at least it will look that way on paper!

Like when Starbucks set up a separate company to buy beans from, and all of a sudden the beans were so expensive that Starbucks weren't making any money. Meanwhile in a tax haven somewhere ...
 
Seems it's run by James McLoughlin who's previous employment was Tussauds. Strange there is a north branch and a south branch just like Merlin studios.
It does seem very odd. The website is very basic and a lot of the links don't work. It's also very vague.

I wonder if they provide cross channel ferry services also?

Almost all Merlin projects use subcontracted project management.

There's nothing suspicious about it though really. Project management is a specialist part of any project and you'd either employ your own project managers on a full time basis, or you'd subcontract it to the same bunch of people on your sub list (especially for smaller projects like these).

It's also hard for Merlin's subs to really be clear on what they did and didn't contribute, because Merlin control what they are allowed to say since the work was done under their contract. And Merlin are oddly cagey when it comes to that sort of thing. So that's probably why it's vague, it's fairly typical of other websites Ive seen of Merlin's contractors

Good to see such an extensive rufurb, you would think that it should keep Blade going for another few years. I do hope that Towers work on distressing the new colours somewhat though, as it does look rather bright for Forbidden Valley!
 
I went to Alton Towers today for the rollercoaster restaurant. I’ve noticed that potentially don’t quote me on it but almost certain one train on Galactica which was testing was 100% no VR and another train that was also testing was no VR on the first 4 rows and 3 rows at the back as VR like last season. But they were excessively testing it today whilst we were there but only ride amongst Forbidden Valley to be testing. Nemesis had a crane into its extended queue line but couldn’t see too much. There’s a new HB leisure game in the sight of Ripsaw and Blade had wooden planks outside its exit. Also not really to do with TLC but in the hotel shop it seems they are celebrating Nemesis 25th birthday as they’ve released a pin badge!

I wouldn’t hold your breath, the best that will likely happen is a blade replacement.
 
They need to do something with the tin shed at was NST.
A walk though history of Nemesis for its 25th birthday year maybe?
