Towers Loving Care

Imagine if the creative team were pitching this area as a new build:

Management: "OK guys, like we said, we want something fresh, unpredictable and off the wall!"
Creative: "How about a haunted forest that's been discovered to have taken over a racing car track run by cavemen?"
Management: "By discovered, do you mean 'unearthed'?"
Creative: "... Yes."
Management: "Sold!"

You can't polish a turd, but at least they've dressed up Ug Forest a little. The signs on the fence are nice. I think some vines would be a nice finishing touch.
 
They've just put some more pics on Twitter and a message saying they are adding vines. It's almost like they're watching this thread :)

LOL! That and some chap in a glacier cavern, with his lighter "make memories, you might need them some day" aaaahhhh.

I continue to be impressed by the effort put in with the TLC campaign, though my end-of-sentence retort will always be "it should never have reached this stage in the first place" ;)
 
Always wondered why with the continuity thing they've got with Dark Forest and Merlin's love of decay themes, they didn't create Dark Forest to look like Ug Land with the forest taking over rather than just paint everything brown and green so you can't see the old theme. Think it could have looked quite cool and been unique and a bit meta that way.
 
With Rita's fence, I'm glad we're getting the vines on it, however I think the fence now looks a little too clean and even a little paint job on it wouldn't go amiss, unless they are going let the fence rot naturally.

They quickly reshot that advert, including closing Rita for a day during peak season, as it just reminded viewers of death.
 
I remember seeing that advert when I was 9 and couldn't believe how depressing it was. I think I just had that fear of getting lost if I went to a park again :p
 
From the photos so far, Dark Forest looks a hell of a lot neater and tidier than it did last season. It still has many flaws as an area but at the end of last season it was an unpresentable joke. Neat and tidy is a vast improvement for now. TLC have said on Twitter than vines will be added within the first few weeks of the season.

Really like the signs on the fencing as well!
