Good. Get all the screaming brats off the park ! Can't be doing with them !They're shooting themselves in the foot with all these rides closures. If your a family with children who aren't tall or brave enough to go on the big rides then Drayton Manor has a better range of rides to go on this season. A lot of families are going to see the ride line up and just not bother going this season.

I am aware there is some work going on with Hex, but not enough that requires the ride to be closed for an entire season, that is merely cost saving.
The floor in the Octagon is being replaced which is the big job. I think if they wanted to it could probably open for the summer though.
Vekoma has tried to fix the parking issue a few times over the years, Hex isn't the only mad-house that does this and no-one has ever found the underlying cause. Still maybe they will crack it this time.
Has anywhere actually said hex will be closed for the whole year? As far as I'm aware, it's just been rumored to be a year. Don't think towers themselves have actually said that.
They really need to open hex though. A massive hole in my own ride lineup. Just getting on the big 6 and duel doesn't feel like a complete day to me. I need hex just for more variety. Bring back sub terra too.
Speaking off duel, I've never seen it as bad as today. Trommel was off, music was off, lights were off in some areas. On the plus side though, the working effects were well timed, and a few even made me jump (they seemed to have much faster, more violent movements and due to lack of lights and music, came out of no where). It was fun going round with my brother singing the duel music when it went off. The cars seemed very slow though, and you could see at least two in front of you at all times. Need serious work doing, was absolutely laughable today.

Well that's logical...Apparently The Smiler has been on 4 during midweek but 3 on weekends.
When you say signed off, do you mean it's going from the park, or can open at any moment. I hope the latter, it needs to open just to put some filler rides in FV.N:ST is either signed off or close to being so.
And why only run 3 smiler trains on weekends? Makes no sense.

Signed off means ready to open.
Thanks, I've heard people use it in both contexts so I wasn't sure. At least it's going to open at some point. Still don't think there will be improvements, just closed for budget cuts.Signed off means ready to open.

Any chance of a pre end of season opening do you think? I would imagine minor redesign work has been done to remove the necessity for any actors?Music was on bar the piece before the Trommel for me. N:ST is either signed off or close to being so. Hex is a building site, CATCF has no funds due to Hex refurb. Apparently The Smiler has been on 4 during midweek but 3 on weekends.
If its been signed off, I'd guess scarefest personally. Doubt they'd open it before an event. Hex I'm not sure about: depends how they're doing with the work. They may open it late this season, but I think it's much more likely to open next year. CATCF? No chance. I doubt it will open next year, same goes for driving school (I'd expect a pay-per-go game to appear in its place next year).

N:ST is definately a love it or hate it ride. I look forward to it opening again. Hopefully fully working! Considering most theme parks have fairly passive rides, It's so unique being a really physical, immersive ride. I hope they haven't altered any of that.
