If it’s under the ‘hot deals’ promotional rate then this does still fall under the 3 days cancellation rate. I’d assume they’ve changed the rules this year off the back of Covid and allowed them to be cancelled. The difference between that and the unrestricted rate is that you pay in advance.
Just as a side note for future reference, as the cancellation policy above would cover you anyway in this case. You would only get money back through a credit card company if the service or product you booked could not be provided by the company you bought it from. So if you booked a hotel separately, but it was still open for business yet you were unable to travel, the credit card company would not uphold a chargeback. The credit card company will not take travel restrictions into account as you booked things individually. The only exception to this would be if you booked a package holiday (flight and hotel through the same provider) and the company refused to refund, as they are legally obligated through the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations.
