Trip Planning: Information, advice and questions!

From my recent visit, this is how I found the wetness of the water rides.

Poseidon - this gives you more of a refreshing splash i.e. you get slightly wet but not soaked.

Tirol Log Flume - It varies, some rides I was soaked and others I was slightly wet.

Fjord Rafting Rapids - It varies, some rides I was soaked and others I was slightly wet. It is less of a lazy river compared to it's UK counterparts nowadays.

Atlantica Supersplash - I would say you get quite wet - nowhere near like Tidal Wave or Valhalla but it's more than the other three rides. Be prepared to get very wet.
Poseidon is usually ok, mild splashing only.

Atlantica Supersplash is pretty dry if you sit in a middle seat of the back row, if you can orchestrate that. Beware the squirting dolphin though, he may catch you out.

Fjord Rafting it's definitely possible to get extremely wet on. Assume annihilation and if you come off dry count your blessings.

Haven't done the new Tirol Log Flume so can't comment.

In a heavier boat the backsplash from the wall after the first drop is likely to soak you thoroughly on the log flume. The added effects from the Austria rebuild, including the guns, are also now likely to get you wet (but not soaked).

Whilst you can catch an unlucky wave on the rapids, the most likely source of getting really wet (rather than splashed) is the water cannon which is in the wave machine section facing Spices restaurant. If your boat drifts close to the shore of that cannon, there’s a good chance whoever’s got control of that cannon is going to soak you. If you drift around the far side of the trough you should be okay and more boats follow this route, although it’s obviously pot luck.

Wetness also depends on the row. Front row on Poseidon and Atlantica is mostly wetter than the others. But it difficult to make generalizations. Assume to get wet and prepare accordingly.

Have a few Traumatica questions...

1. How long are the scare maze queues likely to be on a Sunday evening?

2. Which mazes should be prioritised if we are limited with time?

3. Is it any good? Barely hear a mention of the event
Just went yesterday, and we very much enjoyed it. We hadn't been to any other similar events before so unfortunately I can't give comparisons.

1. Unfortunately I can't answer this for Sunday as I went on a Saturday and it's also very early on in the Halloween season, but the from what we saw the queues maxed at 30 minutes.

2. We didn't do all the mazes due to time and other things we did, but this is my completely subjective ranking from best to worst:

* Studio 13,
* The Unknown
* Grim's funhouse (without the glowing band that lets the actors touch you)
* Tarot house (I was at the back of the group so I didn't get many scares, but I think it would be ranked bottom for me anyway)

Someone we talked to who did The Hill didn't really like it, but we didn't do it.

3. We enjoyed it. We especially enjoyed the ice show as well, would recommend.

Happy to answer any other questions about the event if I can.

Hi, I'm planning my first trip for next year, and I'm awaiting for the booking dates to be released tomorrow, but I need help!

I'm hoping to stay on site, and buy park tickets together for Monday - Thursday.
So that's 3 nights, and 3 day park tickets.
Does anyone know what day the park tickets start? Can I travel on the Monday and use my park days as Tue, Wed, Thu, or do they start on Monday?
I don't really want to use my park ticket on travel day just incase it eats up a lot of time.

Thank you for any help!

You can manually select your park tickets for each day, that's what I'm planning to do as well. I'm wanting three days on park with a travel day either side (so five days and four nights).

oh you can? That's great!
Thank you so much for your help
No problem! When you book it'll give you two options, Experience it All and choosing your tickets manually. EiA automatically gives you tickets on all your days (plus Rulantica tickets on your departure day, which is what I'm planning anyway), so is not suitable for us. It will be my first visit as well next year, but I started researching everything at the beginning of this year to see what the booking system was like.

I'm up at midnight tonight to book. With Rulantica day I wonder if a) komfort sofa €50 is worth it and whether 1 bed for family of 4 is allowed/enough

If you can justify €50 to hire a sofa for a day, I’d say it’s probably worth it. They aren’t big enough for 4 people (2 max at a time) but seeing as there’s hundreds of sun loungers dotted around everywhere (inside and out) you could always arrange to share the sofa amongst yourselves throughout the day.

Thanks, we think we'll book 1, and swap out when needed (1 parent with 1 kid at a time). Unless we are allowed to sit in there together (bed type one shows 2 adults and 1 kid sat on single sofa)

The 25/26 season hotels are now on sale to hotel friends members.

The system seems to have been updated since last year. I certainly wasn’t waiting in a queue, just logged onto my hotel friends account and breezed through the process!

All booked 👌

I messed up the date, thought I needed to be awake at midnight tonight, but it was midnight last night (duh)..

Missed out on the dead cheap economy room at Bell Rock, can anyone confirm how many economy rooms are available across the resort? Someone previously had said there were some at Colosseo, under the bar, but they don’t show up in the booking options (the greyed out ones) which leads me to think they aren’t available for anyone?

How many economy rooms are there? I’m hoping someone says only one total, so I don’t feel I chucked a load of money down the drain as would’ve been unlikely to get it anyway (I’m staying for over ten nights)

Thanks!

So I had a different experience, tested it out at 11pm last night (theory was midnight German time). Was in immediately and economy had gone (mid August). Pulled trigger on Standard immediately. But there was no Rulantica add on. 15 mins later we did a dummy booking and Rulantica appeared. Sigh. Waiting for customer services to reply to my email to amend. None of the Rulantica dummy tests have upgrades for drinks and sofas so don't think it's fully working. By midnight server crashed so went to bed 😂

There’s only a VERY limited amount of “economy” rooms across the resort. Very rarely do they ever come up as an option in my experience.

The Rulantica add on won’t be an issue, I’ve added to bookings via email before.

Don’t worry about the additional stuff. You just gotta get the hotel booking you want. Everything else can be added way down the line. Rulantica is set amount of people per day but you’ve still got loads of time before it reaches that point, if ever.

I didn’t even add on park tickets yet, just took a screenshot of the price so I could decide down the line if it’s better to get an annual pass for full access during our 13 nights.. booking system only offered a six day pass max.
