Trip Planning: Information, advice and questions!

I'm out most of the day today but as soon as I get back I'm going to dummy bookings (I'll need two rooms so two separate bookings) to cost it all up. Hoping to get a meeting with my group this week to discuss and book.

There’s only a VERY limited amount of “economy” rooms across the resort. Very rarely do they ever come up as an option in my experience.

The Rulantica add on won’t be an issue, I’ve added to bookings via email before.
Thanks mate I feel way better now, was fuming when woke up and realised, poor missus got woken up in a mad panic, looks like I was dreaming to get 13 consecutive nights in one!

Managed to book my slot! 3 nights in November 2025 in an economy room at Colesseo.
I added on 3 day park tickets (not interested in the waterpark) but it doesn't allow me to choose a start date for the park tickets.
So I have Mon-Thu hotel
Mon-Fri flights (we don't arrive until 10pm on Monday)

Hoping to do the 3-day park Tue/Wed/Thu for maximum effect but it didn't give me an option to choose?
Am I screwed now if my first park day starts on a Monday instead? lol

I think it will be fine, but if you're not sure just drop them a quick email. They are always very helpful and respond quickly.

Economy didn't even come up in most I tried.. must be single digits per hotel surely. Thanks for reassurance on Rulantica. Ps did you say you're doing TEN days? 🤯
I'm doing 6 nights, 4 days in park, 1 in Rulantica. Remortgaging as we speak 😂

Thank you.

I managed to link my reservation with the hotel app, and under 'stays' it has a 'my travel plan' section which shows I should get VIP admission and park admission across Mon-Thu. So hopefully there should be no problems starting it on the Tue and ending on the Thursday. Phew!

My flight home isn't until Friday evening and we are hoping to hire a car. Does anyone have any recommendations for where to visit on the Friday morning/afternoon which is a suitable driving distance from Basel airport?
Car hire recommendations would be super helpful too as I am a little confused as to what is required for crossing Germany/Switzerland borders?

Did it have this during the booking? My assumption is the tickets are loaded to an app. Only activated when you go in?

I’m going guns blazing this year, 13 nights in Andaluz (cheapest) pool days which my kids love, Rulantica, Tripsdrill, Holiday Park, and unfettered access to park with annual pass. Still wayyyyy cheaper than Florida!

Surely the standard rooms can't have sold out in the first morning of this?

Might just have to get a suite for 5 adults and toddler at this rate. But then the bed organisation is weird.

I booked four nights at Bell Rock for June last year, in late January, and was fine. I know that the hotels regularly reach maximum occupancy, but I don't think the whole stock has gone on sale across one day?

Just priced up for the first room, a Delux Room for three people. Went to price up a second Delux room, for two people, and it's saying sold out. 🤦‍♂️

Edit: Looks like you can't have a Delux room for two people, but all the cheaper rooms have sold out (Just tried for 5 people)

Loads of standard rooms available in my search parameters (late July early August)

There is clearly an issue. I have emailed them.

I cannot find many standard rooms in any of the hotels on any of three dates I am trying to book. Colosseo, for example, a MASSIVE hotel, has no standard rooms available on the dates I want. This is not usual given that today is only a release for people on the mailing list.

I will await a response.

Please let us know what they say, I looked at the first week in May and the cheapest rooms were Deluxe.
Also, can adults fit in the Colosseo bunkbeds? Website says they're 1.9 meters long and I'm 1.8, it might be a squeeze. Was looking at two separate rooms (2 in one and 3 in the other as 5 people) but saw that the Deluxe rooms have a separate area with bunks, which might be ok. Just depends on how many there are as we all need separate beds.

We got through on the phone today. Dead easy to amend the booking. But they did say the servers crashed. So we booked Rulantica but they said callback in a few days to book other add ons etc
