Trip Planning: Information, advice and questions!

All booked, 5 nights Alcazar with 3 park days and 1 day Rulantica. We've got 5 nights in the Black Forest beforehand, hoping to do Steinwasen park, Hasenhorn coaster and other things in these days.

First time to Europa park, family can't wait, very excited!!

Hi I’m sure this in this 54 page thread but how come the Europa Park hotel booking only goes up to the end of March but people here are already talking about making bookings?

I signed up to friends of Europa hotels thing but it didn’t make a difference.

Also regarding travel the official website says:

Our tip: When purchasing your train ticket, make sure that it is valid until 'Rust Europa-Park' (not Ringsheim/Europa-Park) - that way, the bus ride from the train station to Europa-Park, Rulantica, to the themed hotels and the Camp Resort is already included.
But on bahn.co.uk putting that station in yields no results. Is there a knack or something?

Hi, if you're signed up to the Hotel Friends Programme you should have received an email with a link to the early booking portal 😊

On the main booking page it's important to know you don't automatically get the Friends view. There's a little tab on the very top left that will take you to the friends area.

Finally had a meeting with my group this morning, and I'll be booking the hotel and park tickets tomorrow! We're booking a Deluxe room in Colosseo Mon-Fri in early May, with three days on park (Tues-Thurs). 😍

Can anyone advise when the theme park tickets go on sale for next year? We have booked flights and accommodation in a lodge (not official Europa Park accommodation) so I am keen to know when the the tickets go on sale for people who are not staying in on site accommodation?

They’ll be available once new prices are confirmed, usually around January although you’ll have absolutely zero issue getting tickets whenever. Limits are a Covid thing, or on rare times when the park is exceptionally busy (midnight opening) and only very near to those dates.

If you’re staying in Rust, you’re guaranteed a ticket anyway with proof of your stay - your accommodation provider can sort this for you.

Brilliant thanks.

Does anyone have experience of obtaining tickets on these sold out days? Is it just a case of taking a booking confirmation to the entrance? What is the situation if you have a Resort Pass, is it the same procedure?

I know guesthouses have access to a booking portal to secure tickets on your behalf.

I’d imagine for Resort Pass taking your accommodation booking confirmation and/or your completed Rust Tourist Tax form to Guest Services should be sufficient for them to sort a ticket for you. That said, I don’t think it’s too difficult these days to nab a reservation early enough, it’s only within a couple of weeks of the busiest dates where reservations disappear. That’s especially the case with the higher pass prices now.

I totally forgot about this, does it work for Rulantica as well? Or just park tickets?

Headed to EP in a couple weeks, can't wait. It seems like the crowds will be relatively minimal so the queue will not be such a big deal, but in the interests of maximising our rides on Volton I had a few questions.

  1. Are "last hour" tickets still a thing? If so, we just need to request them when we check in?
  2. Does the Voltron queue work "Disney style" where you just have to join 1 minute before park closes in order to ride?
  3. For hotel guests who get in an hour early, Voltron isn't part of the rides available during that hour. What's the best strategy for getting on it first?

Yes, queues close with the park, so if you are in the queue just before park close then you’ll still get on.

I bumped into @Sazzle and @Russell last week who said that part of hotel guest ERT can involve waiting in the Holland area and being lead to Voltron 10 minutes before the park officially opens for the first ride of the day!

It’s worth looking at VirtualLine too if the park is quiet enough. If you refresh bang on park open you’ll almost certainly get a slot.

If it’s quiet I wouldn’t worry too much. I think we’ve rode it 12 times today (lost count!) and the queue maxed out all day at 20 mins I think.
