Walibi Belgium: General Discussion

How was the park in adverse weather? Were the coasters all operating? I was thinking of Walibi as our back up if Phantasialand doesn't work out for October but was hesitant due to most of the rides being outdoors.
Everything was running apart from Mecalodon when it was raining the heaviest. They did get it re open though once it let off in the afternoon!

Keep an eye on the calendar though, it doesn't look like the October dates and hours are listed yet. In September, they're only open on weekends (7 days in total, one is closed for a private event).

EDIT:
It seems like they may be only open on specific days for their Halloween event, based on last years page. https://www.walibi.be/halloween-walibi/en/faq
There's a pop up saying it'll start October 11th

This seems crazy, the park is closed for 3 consecutive Saturdays and 1 Friday this month for corporate events! They must be getting a ton of money to close on such peak days:
Plopsaland also has a corporate event on Saturday 24th May.

Walibi have significantly increased their annual pass rates, particularly the Premium offerings with the top tier now more expensive than the equivalent at DLP!

Will be interesting to see if this is a trend elsewhere… though I recall Merlin just reduced theirs, perhaps indicative of the parks varying fortunes?

Just be mindful if their system is anything like at Holland you'll be stood at the exit for the duration of the queue.

Unless they've realised that that system for disabled people wasn't great without amenities available.

The premium passes all include some form of fast pass, whereas those that don’t are far more in line with what you’d expect from other European parks of a similar calibre. I don’t think a DLP comparison is really fair here!

I’d hope not. Although the ride does need new trains / restraints to make it more pleasant. But I didn’t find it as horrendous as some make out.
I agree there. The layout wasn't bad, but the fact it jackhammered vertically AND horizontally... eesh. Not as bad as Bandit and tbh get GCI in with re track & trains.

But I'm a sucker for an RMC despite only being on a few of them 😅
