Walibi Holland: General Discussion

Looks a bit tame compared to other models. The elements seem a bit more drawn out and less whippy.
Unironically looks slow.

Currently at Walibi Holland on what is Yoy’s third day of operation. It is on one train per side, with each side getting approximately 180pph. The queue is advertised at 30 minutes but it must be at least 2 hours.
Done Thrill and unfortunately it’s bang average.

Oh dear; that’s a shame.
I’m surprised to see an RMC thrill ride that doesn’t hit; their rides normally get rave reviews. When you describe Thrill as “bang average” @Rob, do you mean “average for an RMC, but still awesome in the grand scheme of things” or “average in the grand scheme of things”?

Average in the grand scheme of things. I’ve done many RMCs and it’s the worst first impression I’ve had from one.
It may warm up later but I’m not sure it’s ever going to be a top tier coaster. Although looks like it’s closed again now so may not warm up!
It’s also a shame that they forgot to theme or landscape it.

Thoughts after my day at Walibi Holland:
YoY are good and fun but not elite. Thrill side I prefer but is limited by requirements of Chill side. Park wasn’t very busy and if the trains aren’t full they run like a wonky shopping trolley due to the lack of speed. Had moments of downtime in the morning but trouble free all afternoon. They don’t advertise the wait times but they were small to walk on (especially Chill). Fast pass guarantees you front, single rider the back. Also worth noting no YoY guarantee anymore, more expensive one shots.
Other mentions are Blast never opened and Tomahawk and Eat My Dust opened very late. Plus Speed of No Sound and Lost Gravity was only on two trains.
Crowds were extremely light and at Toverland yesterday so the Netherlands was an excellent choice to go for Easter.
