West Midland Safari Park 9th & 10th February

For my websites 1st Birthday, I am organising a meet to West Midland Safari Park on both 9th February & 10th February. You can go to both days, or just the one day if you wish. Here is the event page on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/events/519966938027306/

The event is restricted to just 12 people, and 4 of these spaces are taken. This is because the Safari Bus Tour seats are restricted. Included in the event is (Hopefully) A chance to feed most the animals, the chance to be as close as 2 meters to Lions, Giraffe, Rhino, Camel, Elephant and many more animals. You also get the chance to ride all the amazing attractions, and watch the sea lion show and reptile encounter. We are also trying to organise a special talk about the penguins, lemur and meercats.

The cost of this event is: £22.50 (includes Wristband for rides, admission, animal talks, Safari Bus Tour & shows). The SS Team do not make any profit from the event. You need to make your own way there, so directions are below this paragraph.

TRAINS: For those travelling to the park from the NORTH, we suggest getting trains to Ludlow with Arriva Trains Wales (http://www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk/Home.aspx).

For those travelling to the park from the SOUTH, we suggest getting trains to Kidderminster with London Midland Trains (http://www.londonmidland.com/) The Train operators we have stated are the operators who own the stations (Arriva Owns Ludlow, London Midland own Kidderminster) so most services are operated by them.

For those travelling to the park from the MIDLANDS (Wolverhampton, Stoke) we suggest getting trains to Kidderminster, as the duration of your journey is shorter than going to Ludlow. Trains operated at Kidderminster are London Midland Trains (http://www.londonmidland.com/)

After exiting the train at Kidderminster or Ludlow, you need to catch the 292 bus service which will say To Ludlow if you board at Kidderminster, and To Kidderminster if you board the bus at Ludlow. You then need to state 'return West Midland Safari Park' to the driver. The bus fare is usually less than £5.

CARS: Directions...

From Birmingham: Take the main Hagley Road to the Quinton Expressway A456 through Hagley and Blakedown following Safari Park signs through Kidderminster to Bewdley.
From Wolverhampton: Take the A449 to Kidderminster. Take the A456 to Bewdley.
From the North: Take the M6 South, leave on exit 8 and join the M5. Take the M5 to exit 3 and follow the A456 through Kidderminster to Bewdley.
From the South: Take the M5 North, leave on exit 6 and follow the A449 to Kidderminster. Take the A456 to Bewdley.

Car Parking is FREE OF CHARGE
Buses operated by First Group (292 service: Kidderminster-WMSP-Ludlow Ludlow-WMSP-Kidderminster)

In order to be confirmed on the list of the 12 spaces, you need to hit the going button on the event page (http://www.facebook.com/events/519966938027306/) which will confirm your spot to go. As said before, 4 spaces are taken. If you are the 13th person to hit going, you will make it onto our reserve list.

We hope you join us!
