What are you listening to?

I'm having a 90s music sesh this morning, Vengaboys, Steps, S Club 7, Spice Girls etc....

:p

In The Land Of The Fools by The Defiled.

Sat on this bus I have decided this is indeed a land of fools.

LMFAO - Sexy And I Know It
Every time I hear that song, all I can think of is that spoof video with Tom Daley dancing around in his Speedos. :p

Pirates covering a song by farmers. What is not to like?

I know them! My friend's brother loves them. Aren't they those people who dress up as pirates and sing songs about wenches and mead and other such lark? ;)

They are. Pirate metal is certainly one of the more 'interesting' niches out there. :p

They're jolly good fun though. :p

Dear God help me...

No point in posting the link over and over again.. Gangnam Style over here. And have been for nearly an hour.

This could be the best song they've done in 11 years.

The falsetto alone makes up for The Resistance.

Hopefully a return within the near future Swedish house mafia can not believe how good there work is. "Don't you worry child" is unbeavilable from three top blokes within music good luck in your solo careers

Already better than the Resistance, with three songs to go. New songs are great, and better than most of the songs from the Resistance, with a huge amount of diversity involved. A huge improvement, and will definitely be at least my 4th favourite album (by some margin).

Animals is amazing, and my favourite of the new songs:

Save Me beautiful, and Chris shows some great, emotional vocals:

Follow Me has great single potential:

Panic Station has a great solo, and is very catchy- could have been on BH&R:

Setlist will be something like:

1. Supremacy (great opener)
2. Single from previous albums (Hysteria/SMBH probably)
3. Panic Station
4. Single from previous albums (SMBH/TiRO/Uprising)
5. Animals
6. Rotation (CE/NB/B&H/MotP most likely)
7. The Resistance song (Resistance/USoE/Unnatural Selection)
8. Save Me
9. Single from previous albums (SMBH/TiRO/Uprising)
10. Follow Me
11. Rotation (other epic song)
12. Other song from TSL (Explorers/Liquid State/Survival if not last)
13. Resistance song (Resistance/USoE/Unnatural Selection)
14. Madness
15. Starlight
16. PiB
17. KoC

18. Unsustainable
19. Isolated System (really, really shouldn't be Starlight)/Stockholm Syndrome
20. Stockholm Syndrome (please)/Survival

A pretty decent setlist, and much better than the Resistance Tour, but could be quite short. The show at Cologne was 17 songs, and lasted about 1 hour 20 minutes, and I've seen around the average show would be 1 hour 40 minutes. Therefore, about 3-4 songs more. There could also be space for one extreme rarity per show as well. But still, would be better if:

(21. Fury)
(22. Citizen Erased)
(23. TSP)
(24. Hyper Music)
(25. Bliss)

(26. Muscle Museum)
(27. B&H)
(28. Sunburn

(29. Showbiz)

If only...

There'll still be the defined piano section and probably the dull section after it where Madness, Starlight etc pop up. I think last night was a one off in terms of how little piano there was. I'm surprised he used the white piano, he might as well have just used the x frame keyboard. :p

Explorers and one of the rotation songs most likely. No Feeling Good. Please. Just no.

I can accept it at festivals, as long as I'm not there, but if they play it at their own gigs it'll be embarrassing. At least they've stopped ending with KOC at last.

And I hope I never hear Undisclosed Desires again.

I can pretty much say there's as great a chance of them playing Execution Commentary before playing that crap live again.

It's the sort of song they'll still play at festivals, but only at festivals. There basically not playing anything from OoS, so I don't know why they'll play that when there's several other much better songs.

To be honest I can live with them not playing OoS songs, at least on this tour. That's what Reading was for.

I'd hope Bliss and CE still pop up from time to time, but the new songs have the quality to be direct replacements, especially if Liquid State lives up to expectations. Shame they're sticking with the worst heavy song on Origin, it should by now only be a rotation song if the better ones are either dead or dying.

But Dead Star surely can't be dead. :(
