What developments will happen after 2018?
It is but it never really had any re-ride ability to it, once you know the story, it's not exciting much after that.
Maybe they should dig a huge hole in the ground there and put a proper drop tower in, drop towers are fun (my son hates them) but entering the ride at the top and dropping into the ground would be something unique.

It's a good idea. Keep the 'sub terra' theme to it, but take away the rest of the experience. I imagine the costs for it would be rather large though, you'd have to remove a lot of land around the site and need a hell of a lot of concrete. It'd have to be one of those Intamin multi drop ones I think. It is but it never really had any re-ride ability to it, once you know the story, it's not exciting much after that.

As for Ripsaw, funnily enough, abc rides are the creators of the new Tourbillon, which is that extremely unusual multi rotating spin ride that can essentially be seen as a future generation top spin. That would make a good replacement ASSUMING it has a ride programme that isn't too nauseating

Sub-Terra?
Surely there's only one obvious place The Dungeon will be heading at Alton Towers?!

To avoid discussion in two places, can we keep Dungeon releated stuff to the newly created thread.
Thanks!

Thanks!

I would like see an alternative way of getting around the park to the sky ride. Having experienced the skyride being shut we walked for miles between the different areas. I know it won't happen because it costs money to employ staff etc. Or just improve the sky ride reliability

You have to bear in mind that the Skyride may have been out of action because of the heat - don't know the maximum temperature but if the gondolas are extremely hot inside they will close the ride due to safety of the guests (in the event of a breakdown guests could be held on them for quite a while)I would like see an alternative way of getting around the park to the sky ride. But I agree, another way of getting around would be good. Land trains or similar is an option I guess.

I've seen that on You tube I know it does take a while. But would be easier if there was an easier way around the park
The Skyride seems to be pretty unreliable these days: but it tends to just be a reset to get it moving again.
I think that and the monorail both need some investment; but I think it is more likely Merlin would remove them than upgrade them. The Skyride will go, replaced by a £3 per trip land train between the areas.

Please don't give them any ideas

I usually walk, great exercise and believe it or not, it quicker too and you don't have to queue to walk either. Just don't think cutting across the gardens is a short cut, unless you want a good workout
Haunted hollow is usually the best/quickest route to take

I'm a carer so I've done my fair share of wheel chair pushing. Will stop moaning then
