What’s going on with the Shoutbox?

Out of interest, does anyone know why the Shoutbox has now resorted to replacing people’s posts in it with their username?

I’ve spent the last couple of days being very confused by why the Shoutbox now consists of a list of people regurgitating their usernames, so I posted in there a few minutes ago asking “Why is everyone posting their username?” or something along those lines. However, I notice that my post in there has now been replaced by “Matt N”, so I’m guessing that it’s something to do with the Shoutbox itself rather than some in-joke that I wasn’t in on like I’d originally guessed.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Regardless of what happened, it seems to have been rectified now… I’m not sure what happened there!
