Listen to it.I’ve watched the video loads but can’t see what the issue people are talking about, I’m not saying there isn’t one I’m saying I can’t work out what the issue is.

I'd doubt tech services would let the lift chain drive mech run with an issue until it self destructs.

I dunno. A broken / closed ride costs nothing to run.I'd doubt tech services would let the lift chain drive mech run with an issue until it self destructs.

They can't, the negative PR of a major ride failure like that would be damaging to profits.I'd doubt tech services would let the lift chain drive mech run with an issue until it self destructs.

Yeah but Thorpe didn't have a bad incident 4 years ago.Thorpe escaped last year with Swarm’s chain snapping.
And also, as far as the media are concerned when it comes to theme park accidents and bringing them up again and again, Alton Towers is the only theme park in the UK.

Watch it from about 26 seconds, you can see the chain banging against the guide in a way similar to if you flick a piece of rope up to create a moving wave along its lengthI’ve watched the video loads but can’t see what the issue people are talking about, I’m not saying there isn’t one I’m saying I can’t work out what the issue is.

Looks like Wickerman has been down all day, I wonder what's up with it?
He’s got hay fever. AT are scared a sneeze would burn hundreds. They don’t need any more health and safety claims

I do hope it opens tomorrow as its my first visit of the year and its my favourite! if not theres nothing that can be done but there must be something significant at least with it seemingly being closed all day

Its a pity. They have been doing pretty well with ride reliability this year.

I’ve heard twice today on park from different people that WM is gonna be shut for about two weeks

Then again I never believe anything so it may open tomorrow

I hope not; I'm going tomorrow and Monday! For all we know, it could well open tomorrow, as we don't actually know what's wrong with it!I’ve heard twice today on park from different people that WM is gonna be shut for about two weeks

It could well be like how Nemesis was randomly shut for a couple of days earlier this week!
