Ooh! So they might still open the coasters if they improve a bit more!
Well... Don't take my post as an accurate option as to whether they'll open or not, but it's a good sign that the weather may take a turn for the better.

If there are any staff there to open them............

Not sure whether anyone has already seen this, but this letter is being given to those staying in the hotel. Looks like regardless of whether the coasters are open or not the park will only be open til 3pm.

3pm is a fair closing time for such a limited offering when the weather is ment to get worse at that time. But this info should be on there social media that park will close at 3pm regardless. Just so people who will risk the trip tomorrow will know it' not a full day

I don't mean to shout! I just put exclamation marks at the end! That's possible. Do you have to shout every time you post though? !

3pm close will because of that Amber warning, staff and customers need to be able to leave safely.
It does beg question of why bother opening but they left it too late to not open.

I'm just amazed that AT aren't giving this sort of information out on their social media platforms. Yes, hotel guests need to be aware of closures etc, but so do those travelling in the morning. I've had huge issues with AT's social media previously (namely over the Galactica closures), and I think it leaves an awful lot to be desired.

Agreed Thorpe have been saying last few days that the weather might affect there opening and then updated everyone as soon as it became clear weather was going to stop play. I would have hoped as towers is pretty much near no where and can be a pain to get to at the best of times they would have done the sameIf Thorpe is anything to go by, social media and hotel / park operations are not related at all.

I think Towers, like the rest of us, assumed the weather forecasts were worst case scenario fear porn, and were hoping the more accurate later in the week forecasts proved it by downgrading the severity, like they do every other time they issue a weather warning.

That's more then likely true Ian but still issue a warning topeoplethinking about traveling. I understand with wickerman due to open the last thing they would want to do is risk reducing the amount of people attending but for me personally I would much rather of had a few days of them saying weather might affect opening and then a post today saying if it will or won't rather then days of nope we will be open nothing will stop us trust us come spend money we will look after you followed by a oops sorry we messed up
