I spent a couple of hours a few weeks ago trying to resuscitate my old NES, to no avail. It powers up and the anti piracy chip clearly still works, as it reboots once a second, but won't read a game despite my meticulous cleaning and realigning the pins on the cartridge reader. Sad times.

My team at work think fax is prehistoric so imagine their amazement to discover that before fax we had the delight of Telex. When I first started work the Telex was referred to in hushed tones, had its own room and only one person was allowed access to it. Happy days!
New favourite old tool.
Had to do a lot of house clearance assistance this year, sadly lost three customers in three months, all became good mates.
Must be more careful with the weedkiller.
Anyway, all the tools have been passed on to me.
Including...
A lovely metal tape measure, a quality push button, locking ten foot Lufkin W7210.
Why so special?
Stuff your metric.
Centimetres and millimetres not welcome here.
Feet and inches, or get to the Courtyard Tavern.

When you start trying to do your best efforts to look younger than your real age as oppose to making yourself look older.
Also when you remember when at school in in public loos you had those horrible grease proof toilet paper that did nothing but to smear your poop all over your bottom.
