You Know You're Addicted to Alton Towers (and tst) When....

when I end up looking up TV repeater stations in Oakmoor and cheadle, just because their coverage areas include Alton Towers. I know its sad being a RF geek.
 
when you walk into your daughter's bedroom and see march 21th marked. and every Saturday before it is mark counting down to it.
 
When your Dad always sends you photos of Alton Towers road signs he sees on his travels, aww. :) We both love the place.
 
... when your sat in work today listening to all the music tracks from Alton Towers on your phone..... including Scarefest ones, and the monorail music, lol
 
when you close your bedroom door and see this

when after two days off work, everyone interested in the Smiler incident, come to me as I am the Alton Towers expert. and know all about that techie stuff.
 
When:
  • Your DT GCSE project is a hedgehog house (didn't have a choice with that) with the title sw 8
  • When your French GCSE on dream holidays includes nemesis, oblivion, air, Alton towers and merlin pass.
  • When your friends are careful not to mention anything theme park related when your around
  • When your friends say that the smiler will be closed, then regret it because you somehow managed to talk about its safety features for 20 minutes straight.
  • When you can't wait to get a car, just to go to Alton towers whenever you want (I'm coming secret weapon 8)

I can empathise with all of these!
 
When the college you work for has a meeting over the student trip to AT after the incident. And the health and safety officer get you to come along as a specialist, as "you know all about theme parks and engineering"
 
When whenever you see a spider out somewhere you automatically say "Are you ssscared of sssspiddeers?!!" To whoever's with you

Is this not normal!

I also accidentally keep using Lord of darkness quotes in my everyday speech.

My friend: "got that teacher today who makes us watch films twice so we can write descriptions of characters"

Me: "bad news. You may be about to experience a feeling of dejar vu. Your class writes slow so you may have to relive the experience over, and over, and over, and over...

This is actually a true conversation I had. They never notice!!!:D
