Best Single Coaster Ride of 2022:

Front Row of Zadra in the dark. The moment of going through the inverted stall with the goggles on and seeing the Wonder Wheel lit up in front of you but upside down was absolutely heavenly and also beautifully surreal.

* A crazy Technical Park air race style ride at Holiday World in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria. I’m sure it was perfectly safe but I genuinely felt as though I could fall out of it given the very spacious and free feeling restraints that meant you had plenty of room for you to roll about and slide from side to side.

Geister Rikscha (how it hasn't been scrapped by now is a total mystery!)

Best theme Park food:
Route 83 Diner, Paultons Park
(Decent food, certified gluten-free options and impressive operations - even saw someone wiping tables!)

Worst theme Park food:
Sombrero's Street Food, Thorpe Park
(the non-gluten 'burrito' was a pile of rice on a wilted salad leaf - no sides offered. May or may not have been given the veggie option in error given the amount of chicken provided - jury's still out on that one!)

A bit boring, but I didn’t actually visit any new theme parks this year But I did visit plenty of parks I had been to previously, so he’s a few stats.

Total different theme parks:
15

That includes 34 visits to Alton Towers, 4 to Plopsaland and 3 visits to Europe Park, Chessington and Thorpe Park.

New Coaster creds:
6

With Ride to happiness at Plopsaland by far the best new cred of the year followed by Kondaa at Walibi Belgium.

Lets see if I can get some new parks in for 2023, there’s nothing really major left in Europe for me to do now.

The Beach, only about a dozen times, mainly with the three jolly boys on here.
No Towers at all this year, once on the South Pier mouse, and I laughed at damn fool adults on the local fair kiddie coasters, er, that's it.
Very nice gentle coaster year all the same thank you.
Always entertained, good company, happy times.
Needed more rain for coastal coaster skiving...was too dry this summer, maybe next year.

Uh, no new park this year, just jolly outings to Towers and BPB with the only new coaster cred for me being Wicker Man...yeah, I'm boring.
