RollerCoaster Tycoon World
I'm looking at all those pictures and what's coming to mind is that awful spin-off-ish game that came out on xbox a few years ago.
If you want to feel old, that spin off game wasn't out "a few years ago"
it was out 7/8 years ago.

Well then Atari has decided pipe works studio to go and RCT world will now be developed by area 52 studios
According to Atari Area 51 games have put a team together are veterans in working on strategy games and that have worked on games such as the sims, railroad tycoon, age of empires, tropico, pirates and forza.
They will finish and further develop what pipe works have already developed.

Well my enthusiasm for this game has just died.
A change of studios is nearly always a sign of troubled development. Even if an arguably better studio is being brought in I can't think of any games that have changed studio mid-develop and not ended up a compromised product.
Does anyone have a link to a news article about this?

area 52 games don't seem to be an arguably better studio, which is saying something because the previous developer had a pretty awful portfolio
The only game they have involvement in on their website is roller coaster tycoon world.
Can't find much more information about them anywhere.
if i am forced to be positive I can only say that this company might put all their effort and time into this, just to gain publicity and a good name out there

There's an interesting twist occurring over at ShyGuy's world! The Community Manager from Pipework has just started reposting on the forum. For those unaware Pipework were the developers behind RCT World before Atari axed them for Area 52. The posts are very cryptic but it seems they plan to salvage what they can from the project and make another Theme Park game!
