2015: 40th Anniversary

It's also hard to think of any other theme park that would make a deal out of and be somewhat proud that they have upgraded a fire alarm system! Only EP! :D

I found this earlier, opening day. It wasn't that interesting until Roland started throwing shapes at 13:50 in....he's got some moves :) :)

So Expedition Geforce gets voted as best coaster in the WORLD the other year, and now Bloofi is the best in Europe

And I agree, @John, as much as I adore everything about Blue Fire, Wodan is much better in my opinion.

Wodan is an amazing coaster, for many reasons. It's very difficult to say which is better, that or Blue Fire, it is like comparing apples with oranges. They are both very different experiences, it all comes down to personal preference, so all these "Best Coaster" polls are rather useless. In my opinion. ;)

Oh and Silver Star doesn't get as much love as it should, it's a lot of fun. IMO ;-)

Those Diamond Awards also said that Walibi Belgium was the best park in Belgium AND Holland...

Not particularly a good yardstick, even if like any of them, it's opinion based...

European park awards are often quite geographical in their nature.

Obviously Blue Fire is wonderful but there's better.

Maybe it was awarded for operational standards?

:)

I have to say, EP is the first park I've ever been to outside the UK, so I'm a bit behind! It was a "quiet" week. (I planned the trip that way, nothing kills a park experience like a 90min wait for a 2 minute ride). There were still plenty of people there for atmosphere, but the operations and throughput was just amazing.

I'm sure there is better than Blue Fire, but I'm in a position now to visit parks outside the UK, my journey is just beginning, at 37 years of age.

Still, EP made me feel young.

Sorry, still buzzing off my trip last week.

It's never too late, and EP is probably the best possible way to start!

A photo update from the EuropaStreet Facebook page shows the ongoing development of Whale Adventures.

Simply amazing when a park has money and actually spending it updating small rides and making them look outstandingly good

Well played Europa

In what I think is an awful idea, for the 40th anniversary EP are giving Euromaus and Euromausi first names. You can vote for your favourite on the EP website and the winner on the 12th July.

Euromaus_Namensaktion.jpg

I don't know what they are trying to achieve by modifying the names of such long-standing mascots. Euromaus for example is perfectly clear, simple and catchy.

:)

I agree with the above but only because I don't really like the names offered. Franz would have been a nice choice.

I can see why they wanted to change it. Euromaus is pretty lacking in imagination as far as a name goes, and this is another step towards distancing the character from the obviously Mickey rip-off that he was at his birth.

Make the best of a bad situation and vote for Finn, which is by far the best name on offer. I don't like this much, but it doesn't really matter. :)
