Towers Loving Care

I hate to be one of "those" people that complains it's not happening and complains when it does happen, but I'd rather that money be spent on keeping one of the rides that are closing open.

To be fair, you can't just hire any old painters and decorators to do this job. You need specialists with all the right equipment.

I'd rather they spend it now rather than leave it any longer and potentially cause more expensive damage in the future. They've painted the track yes, but in doing so they've stripped it to the bare metal and inspected it fully for structural damage too.

Has that account actually been confirmed as official?
Yes. https://twitter.com/altontowers/status/699572965051146241

Is this like when I buy my better half flowers and she's suspicious? Hopefully the sucker punch is just the 6 rides we "know" about.

Although fair play Merlin the TLC looks good. Really excited to head back to nemmy now :)

This is good stuff so far.

I have always considered, if they built Nemesis NOW, as a brand new coaster, people would be in awe of it.

This is fantastic for people who will just be beginning their journey to coaster obsession.

One of the world's most important coasters (it really is impossible to express how much so at the time), being given the attention she really, really deserves.

Fills me with joy!

On the whole Towers, under Merlin influence, drive me up the wall - but this, this is better so well done whoever managed to get this past.

I actually WOULD rather see Nemesis being bought back to her majestic best, and having a filler ride or poorer attraction closed if they only have the budget for so much.

Not that THAT is acceptable, in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM from Merlin by the way, my opinion on THAT has not softened. AT. ALL.

Just in case anyone thinks I'm softening up on them... I'm not.

Got that? Good.

Wow... I will gladly sacrifice CATCF and driving school if this is where the budgets going. The track looks amazing, and it looks as though they are really trying with towers loving care (for now, at least ;)). However, no repaint will make me feel better about the closure of hex, or even NST. I hope they reverse those decisions at some point in the season.

Still, that's another topic. I cant criticise this project stall right now. I hope (and still a little optimistic) that this standard will be implemented across the park (*cough* dark Forrest)

Also, I've moved a bunch of posts to the 2016 Ride Closures thread as they were more suited to that discussion, thanks. :)
