Yes but that won't be a long term problem.

Forgive my skepticism of Merlin, but even if visitor figures increased I would be surprised if this trend was then also reversed.

As I said right from the start of joining this forum, it's not particular actions I watch with Merlin - it's trends.

Oh yes if they don't revert the closed weekdays then I see the issue when that arises.

Although for now midweek closures make perfect sense.

Hey everyone,

Trying to book a hotel using the Annual Pass discount for myself and another person, however that other person does not have an annual pass and the online hotel booking system doesn't let me add additional tickets so I can't take advantage of the current 2 for 1 offer, I have to select the 1 day + 1 free package which of course adds it for both guest.

Anyone had any experience of how to conquer this issue?

I'm sure someone on here will actually know, but I'd just ring towers and book that way (I thought you had to book over the phone anyway if you wanted the map price?)

Apparently not, if you use the AT Holidays website you can get to this page:

http://www.altontowersholidays.com/merlin-annual-pass.html

Also would prefer to do it online as it's cheaper rather than that 13p a minute rubbish ;)
Never booked myself anyway ;) had to ring last time I stayed, though I think I was getting a Sun discount that time.

And being put on hold for 40 minutes listening to merlin marketing probably wasn't worth it :p

Yeah I want to book before tomorrow night as I don't know if you get a bigger discount as there is a 30% discount deal on anyway atm

Apologies if this has already been asked and/or is inappropriate, but when does the travellers weekend usually take place?

Is there ERT if tickets are booked online (I can't find anything on the website) and how much are second day tickets if bought at the park?

Thanks

Hi Kernow71, ERT is indeed included with tickets booked online. Second day tickets last year were around the £10 mark. I would expect the, to be similar this year.

:)

Great, thank you. This is the first time in years we haven't had MAPs so wasn't sure of the cheapest way to get two days.

I know Easter Sunday is when there is a large traveller population on park, however is this also the case the day before?

As an old git (53!) regular visitor to the Towers,
right back to the birth of the Corkscrew,
and a first timer with a season pass...
what do you do to get into the park with your season pass?
and what do you do to get off the car park (premium pass holder)?
Any tips for pass holders?
And finally,
will they let me on Nemesis with my zimmer frame,
or can I leave it on the station platform?

Looking forward to my visit on Monday,
on my tod,
whoring the coasters.
Oh the clock is ticking so slowly.

1. Go to the left hand side of the turnstile

2. Show the staff member on the barricade

3. Pretty sure you can leave it on the platform :)

Tips...

Don't forget about it when buying food and drink or you will miss out on 20% discount :)

Hi all, I'm staying at the hotel and want to take advantage of ERT. What is the best way to get into the park from the hotel?

Thanks :)
