Disneyland Paris: General Discussion

I like Guardians of the Galaxy, but retheming Tower of Terror to it would be an absolute crime. Awful idea, hopefully it turns out to be false.

Utterly ridiculous. Imposing a GotG theme on ToT would be to deface the Mona Lisa with a marker pen.

There's a great scope for Marvel attractions and they will be hugely popular, but this is not the way to do it. A retheme of Rock n' Roller would be a much safer bet.

And I though returning air was bad. They can't honestly consider this.

Fully expecting this to be "officially" announced on 1st April ;)

The parkresort are clearing land for an 8th hotel:

Seems an odd decision if they're struggling to fill their current hotels?

It does seem odd they are planning to add a value hotel when Santa Fe looks so cheap to start with. I would assume the idea would be to add a cheaper hotel to try and catch the people staying in non-Disney places to save money.

Wait what, why are they building another hotel if they're struggling to fill the already existing ones?

I've got a feeling this hotel will be 3* (still value) which would end up the Resort having 2 hotels of each rating bar Disneyland Hotel.

2* Hotel Cheyenne, Hotel Santa Fe
3* Sequoia Lodge, New Hotel
4* Hotel New York, Newport Bay Club
5* Disneyland Hotel

Cast Member death in Disneyland Park attraction.

A Disneyland Cast Member has been found dead in Phantom Manor (of all places) at Disneyland Park. The man aged 45 was apparently fixing an electrical fault between 8:00am - 9:30am this morning when the incident occurred, it is believed the death was caused by an electrical fault in which he was fixing. The attraction has remained closed today.

The 8th hotel at the resort is a massive surprise to me. This is especially when the other 7 struggle to reach high occupancy and cope with the size altogether.

Will still be interesting to see what route they go on here for theme and whether it'll be a value or moderately priced one too.

Shame about the staff death, though why is it always at Paris though I don't get.

Shame to hear about the death... It's just appearing to reach UK news outlets:

As for the 8th hotel, always good to see variety but weird if they aren't filling what they already have. Surely that money could be better spent elsewhere on the resort?

Also a sidenote: have renamed this thread 'Disneyland Paris Discussion' since it is more of a general discussion thread than it originally was when discussing the potential long term plans for the park. :)

Will be visiting tomorrow! Does anyone know if phantom mannor will be open tomorrow? Also big thunder mountain? Two of my favourites. Thanks X

Anyone got an idea when BTM's refurb will be finished?
There was a table posted on Facebook a few months ago (probably about this time last year actually) that had when all the rides would be shut and when they re-open... If I find it I'll post it in here.
