Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Not that I know of. Though given how narrow the track gauge is, you could easily just step across if you wanted to. (Stoopid H&S)

A month delayed and still no opening date confirmed, and Thorpe have given up on marketing. It's almost as if the ride doesn't exist.

This is the problem with using so many external companies...!

VR isn't quite right just yet, still tweaking the experience to ensure all illusions are as they should be.

However, there is also some externally produced theming which is still being installed.

IIRC Flying Fish still has a single rider queue.
Nope flying fish doesn't have one either anymore. It was replaced by a "first plaice" line. But that never seems to be open anymore.

However samurai has recently added a single rider queue to it.

I can just see someone going up to guest services to ask when the DBGT will be open, only to have an angry staff member shout,
"Go away! There ain't no ghost train here, and there never was!"
*Slams shutter down*

An SRQ on Samurai. Really? Is that even needed?
Remember that each arm has 5 seats. Unless groups of 2 and 3 can be seated together seats go empty or groups have to be split up. It's slightly surprising that Mondial haven't made a Top Scan XL park model with 6 per arm, and that Zierer went for 5 per arm on the Star Shape too.

Ah, yes - that makes sense. Thought Samurai's arms only sat 4, for some reason. Shows how often I've been to Thorpe, then. :p

Aaaaaaaaand now all I can think of is Sam's infamous Gerstlauer song.

"It's" is a contraction of "it is", therefore the phrase "it's pants" expands to "it is pants", or to put it more plainly: "SAW: The Ride is an abomination that should be destroyed, melted down and the remaining lump of steel buried 10 yards underground in a lead-lined, steel box, surrounded by 3 feet of steel-reinforced concrete."

Sooo.... you're not a fan?

I really enjoyed this ride, especially in the dark at the MOS night. Just out of curiosity what makes it so bad? To be fair I say I liked it, I went on after 2 consecutive rides on Colossus, so I may have been a little concussed.

Saw is rough as hell now as well but definitely not as bad as Colossus. That's heading towards corkscrew level painful
