I messaged the park to ask if Galactica will be operating on Friday and they said this.

Galactica is currently waiting for a part from B&M so it may be a while before it reopens.
Thanks - real shame but these things happen :( Hopefully it shouldn't be too long !

Annoys the hell outta me with their vague answers. They know if it will be open or not - just say yes or no!!
They don't always, to be fair. Even if maintenance know, the poor folk running the social media don't.

It also depends on the part. It could be on site by 9am and the ride can run at 10am - if it's an electrical component, for example (just hypothetical, you understand ).

If it's something mechanical that needs a crane and some testing, it'll take longer.

If they are changing the headset's do they have to re calibrate the sensors? That might be a problem with a ride outage.

The headsets have been changed since the start of the season, the new ones are in the pouches. God knows what the issue is but I can't say that I am complaining, the more VR issues the better, it may finally get scrapped!

:)

Unless those are just the cases and there's nothing in them. Wouldn't suprise me, it'll teach them to use some brand-x product from China that never had a release date more detailed than late 2017.

There's definitely something in them! ;)

Rip the VR out, the EVE preshow and that ridiculous unused picsolve astronaut head stuff. Leave the portal, rename Galactica back to Air in that same font as Galactica, create it from the ^ of the Galactica logo and add the letters I and R and boom, we have her back as she should be.

EDIT: Oh and bring back the dispatch sequence.

They didn't plan the picsolve stuff for Galatica at all, case in point is the fact that there is NO signage at the RAP entrance to point RAP users to the disabled photo point.

To be fair they probably don't know, in my line of work we use some very complex machines made by a German manufacturer (Siemens) and the stuff is for medical care so they turn around fast but you can't always tell when a part is going to be dispatched and arrive and often when problem solving the engineers replace one part which doesn't fix the problem so others are ordered.

So when my boss asks when the thing will be working again I say "I have no further update at this time :) )
